 PSALM 23 VERSE 4

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me
.

PRAISE THE LORD. IT’S WONDERFUL ONCE AGAIN TO CONTINUE STUDYING PSALM 23. WE ARE NOW IN VERSE 4. THE FIRST 3 VERSES HAVE BEEN VERY ELIGHTENING AND REFRESHING. IT’S AMAZING TO KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF WISDON IN OUR LIVES. GOD BLESS YOU.

DAVID SPEAKS OF THE LORD RESTORING HIS SOUL, FOR HIS NAME SAKE. YOU ALSO GET THE SENSE THAT IF GOD DOES THIS THERE IS NO MORE TROUBLE, BUT DAVID WAS MATURE AND REALISTIC ABOUT LIFE.

1-      DAVID KNEW THAT WALKING WITH GOD DOESN’T MEAN YOU ARE EXEMPTED FROM TROUBLE.

2-      OPERATING IN THE KING’S ANOINTING DOESN’T MEAN YOU DON’T FIGHT WARS. INFACT THE WORD SHOWS THAT IT’S THE KINGS IN THE BIBLE WHO FOUGHT WARS.

3-      IF YOU DESIRE THE KING’S ANOINTING BE READY

4-       GOD IS A MAN OF WAR.HE IS ALWAYS FIGHTING WARS. WHEN WE MEET HIM IN EXODUS, HE IS READY FOR WAR AND CALLS HIMSELF JEHOVAH OR LORD SHOWING HE IS VERY MUCH IN CHARGE.

AFTER HE DELIVERED ISRAEL IN EXODUS 15:3 HE DECLARED THAT HE IS A MAN OF WAR. Exodus 15:3

King James Version (KJV)

3The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

Exodus 15:3

New Living Translation (NLT)

3 The Lord is a warrior;
Yahweh[
a] is his name!

NOW I WOULD LIKE TO LOOK AT I SAMUEL 8. WHY? THE HOLY SPIRIT WANTS TO TEACH US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE KING’S ANOINTING. FROM THE BEGINNING IN EXODUS 3:7-8, GOD SAYS ISRAEL IS HIS PEOPLE, AND HAS HEARD THEIR CRY AND HAS COME TO DELIVER THEM. Exodus 3:7-8

King James Version (KJV)

7And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

8And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

NOW THE NLT SAYS RESCUE THEM,

Exodus 3:7-8

New Living Translation (NLT)

7 Then the Lord told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey—the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.

SO WE KNOW IT’S THE LORD WHO WAS GOING TO FIGHT FOR THEM. THE BIBLE IS FULL OF REFERENCES THAT SHOW THAT IT’S THE LORD WHO FOUGHT FOR THEM.

ALL THE WARS THAT WERE EVER FOUGHT BY ISRAEL UP TO THE CONQUEST OF THE LAND WERE FOUGHT BY GOD.

NOW WHEN THEY WERE NOW SETTLED IN THE LAND THEY REJECTED THE THAT PREVILEGE AND INSTEAD ASKED FOR A KING TO RULE OVER THEM, AND FIGHT THEIR BATTLES.. LOOK AT THIS

1 Samuel 8

New King James Version (NKJV)

Israel Demands a King

8 Now it came to pass when Samuel was old that he made his sons judges over Israel. 2 The name of his firstborn was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah; they were judges in Beersheba. 3 But his sons did not walk in his ways; they turned aside after dishonest gain, took bribes, and perverted justice.
4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah, 5 and said to him, “Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.”
6 But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. 8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day—with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods—so they are doing to you also. 9 Now therefore, heed their voice. However, you shall solemnly forewarn them, and show them the behaviour of the king who will reign over them.”
10 So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who asked him for a king. 11 And he said, “This will be the behaviour of the king who will reign over you: He will take your sons and appoint them for his own chariots and to be his horsemen, and some will run before his chariots. 12 He will appoint captains over his thousands and captains over his fifties, will set some to plough his ground and reap his harvest, and some to make his weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers, cooks, and bakers. 14 And he will take the best of your fields, your vineyards, and your olive groves, and give them to his servants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and your vintage, and give it to his officers and servants. 16 And he will take your male servants, your female servants, your finest young men,[a] and your donkeys, and put them to his work. 17 He will take a tenth of your sheep. And you will be his servants. 18 And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, and the Lord will not hear you in that day.”
19 NEVERTHELESS THE PEOPLE REFUSED TO OBEY THE VOICE OF SAMUEL; AND THEY SAID, “NO, BUT WE WILL HAVE A KING OVER US, 20 THAT WE ALSO MAY BE LIKE ALL THE NATIONS, AND THAT OUR KING MAY JUDGE US AND GO OUT BEFORE US AND FIGHT OUR BATTLES.”
21 And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he repeated them in the hearing of the Lord. 22 So the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed their voice, and make them a king.”
And Samuel said to the men of Israel, “Every man go to his city.”

1 Samuel 8

New Living Translation (NLT)

Israel Requests a King

8 As Samuel grew old, he appointed his sons to be judges over Israel. 2 Joel and Abijah, his oldest sons, held court in Beersheba. 3 But they were not like their father, for they were greedy for money. They accepted bribes and perverted justice.
4 Finally, all the elders of Israel met at Ramah to discuss the matter with Samuel. 5 “Look,” they told him, “you are now old, and your sons are not like you. Give us a king to judge us like all the other nations have.”
6 Samuel was displeased with their request and went to the Lord for guidance. 7 “Do everything they say to you,” the Lord replied, “for it is me they are rejecting, not you. They don’t want me to be their king any longer. 8 Ever since I brought them from Egypt they have continually abandoned me and followed other gods. And now they are giving you the same treatment. 9 Do as they ask, but solemnly warn them about the way a king will reign over them.”

Samuel Warns against a Kingdom

10 So Samuel passed on the Lord’s warning to the people who were asking him for a king. 11 “This is how a king will reign over you,” Samuel said. “The king will draft your sons and assign them to his chariots and his charioteers, making them run before his chariots. 12 Some will be generals and captains in his army,[a] some will be forced to plough in his fields and harvest his crops, and some will make his weapons and chariot equipment. 13 The king will take your daughters from you and force them to cook and bake and make perfumes for him. 14 He will take away the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his own officials. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and your grape harvest and distribute it among his officers and attendants. 16 He will take your male and female slaves and demand the finest of your cattle[b] and donkeys for his own use. 17 He will demand a tenth of your flocks, and you will be his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will beg for relief from this king you are demanding, but then the Lord will not help you.”
19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel’s warning. “Even so, we still want a king,” they said. 20 “We want to be like the nations around us. Our king will judge us and lead us into battle.”
21 So Samuel repeated to the Lord what the people had said, 22 and the Lord replied, “Do as they say, and give them a king.” Then Samuel agreed and sent the people home.

WHAT WE LEARN FROM THE ABOVE SCRIPTURE IS THAT ISRAEL REJECTED GOD AS THEIR KING, THAT’S HOW GOD TOOK IT IN VERSE 7

7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

 THEN THEY STATED THAT THEY WANT THEIR KING TO FIGHT THEIR BATTLES AND JUDGE OVER THEM, NOT THE LORD.

VERSE  19-20

19 NEVERTHELESS THE PEOPLE REFUSED TO OBEY THE VOICE OF SAMUEL; AND THEY SAID, “NO, BUT WE WILL HAVE A KING OVER US, 20 THAT WE ALSO MAY BE LIKE ALL THE NATIONS, AND THAT OUR KING MAY JUDGE US AND GO OUT BEFORE US AND FIGHT OUR BATTLES.”

WHY ARE WE READING THIS? THE HOLY SPIRIT WANTS YOU TO BE AWARE OF THE REALITY OF LIFE WALKING WITH GOD.

1-      GOD IS WITH YOU ALL THE TIME BUT THERE ARE BATTLES TO FIGHT.

2-      GOD WILL FIGHT THOSE BATTLES FOR YOU BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO DO YOUR PART.

3-      WE ALL ARE KINGS AND PRIESTS TO OUR GOD SO THAT MEANS WE ARE ALL GOING TO WORK WITH JESUS, FIGHT BATTLES AND THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL HELP US.ARE WE ALL KINGS? LOOK AT THIS

Revelation 1:6

New King James Version (NKJV)

6 and has made us kings[a] and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

 SO YOU ARE A KING AND PRIEST.YET IN THIS STUDY WILL CONCERTRATE MORE ON THE PART OF THE KING. PRIESTHOOD MEANS SACRIFICING SACRIFICES ACCEPTABLE TO GOD, IN HOLINESS. IT’S AN AMAZING CALL TO HOLINESS THAT A LOT OF THE BRIDE OF CHRIST ARE OBLIVIOUS TO. THE PRIEST HAD TO BE HOLY. HIS TURBAN WAS INSCRIBED HOLINESS TO THE LORD. HE HAD TO USE THE BLOOD OF LAMBS UNTILL CHRIST OUR PASSOVER LAMB BECAME THE ONCE AND FOR ALL SACRICE. OFFERING HIS HOLY BLOOD, DID THE JOB ONCE SO PERFECTLY DONE THAT WHEN HE FINISHED HE WENT TO SIT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER. GLORY TO GOD. GLORY TO THE LAMB OF GOD. GLORY TO THE KING OK KINGS. WE GIVE HIM GLORY. HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED AND WORSHIPPED. HE IS GLORIOUS. WE GIVE GOD THE GLORY. WE BOW DOWN IN REVERANCE AND ADORATION,

BUT THE WORD SAYS HE LEFT KINGS AND PRIESTS ON EARTH. THAT IS YOU AND ME. HE MADE US KINGS AND PRIESTS. NOW YOU MAY ASK WHAT THEN DO I SACRIFICE IF THE BLOOD OF ANIMALS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ANYMORE? WE GIVE HIM SACRIFICES OF WORSHIP, PRAISE, THANKS GIVING. AND OBEDIENCE. A LIFE OF HOLINESS PLEASING TO HIM. HOLY PRAYERS THAT BECOME AN INCENSE TO HIS NOSTRILS THAT COME FROM A SACRIFICED LIFE OF ABEDIENCE AND WORKING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. THAT IS PLEASING TO THE FATHER. THE FATHER ENJOYS WORSHIP, AND PRAYERS FROM A HUMBLE OBEDIENT LIFE LIVED IN HOLINESS AND SUBMISSION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT.

NOW HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO DAVID AND PSALM 23:4?

WELL, FIRST DAVID SAYS THE LORD IS MY SHEPERED, I SHALL NOT WANT, OR LACK. FROM THAT YOU CAN SAY WOW, IT’S ALL DONE, and NO MORE TROUBLE NO MORE TEARS, NO MORE WARS. SADLY A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD THINK LIKE THAT. THEY DON’T STOP TO FIND OUT THEIR PART IN THIS. THEY DON’T STOP TO THINK, HOW DO I GET TO A POSITION OF NOT LACKING, OR NOT WANTING? THEY DON’T EVEN GET THE HINT THAT DAVID SAYS THE LORD IS MY SHEPERED THAT MEANS THEY ARE THE SHEEP. THEY DON’T LABOUR TO FIND OUT THE DUTIES OF THE SHEPERED, AND THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SHEEP. YET DAVID SPENDS THE NEXT SIX VERSES ELABORATING HOW WE GET TO THE REALITY OF VERSE 1. THIS IS WHAT THIS STUDY IS ALL ABOUT. IT’S HELPING YOU TO GET TO LIVE THE REALITY OF THE FIRST LINE OF PSALM 23.

PSALM 23:1

 (NKJV)

A PSALM OF DAVID.

23 THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD;
I SHALL NOT WANT.

PSALM 23:1 (NLT)

A PSALM OF DAVID.

1 THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD;
I HAVE ALL THAT I NEED.

NOW WE CONTINUE WITH VERSE 4.

4 YEA, THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH,
I WILL FEAR NO EVIL;
FOR YOU ARE WITH ME;
YOUR ROD AND YOUR STAFF, THEY COMFORT ME.

THE VERY FIRST WORD IN VERSE 4 TELLS YOU SOME THING ABOUT DAVID. YEA:

 THIS WORD IN HEBREWS TELLS YOU SOME THING. IN CONVEYS THE MEANING IF KNOWING. YEA, I KNOW, IM NOT IGNORANT, SOME TRANS LATIOS USE EVEN OR AND.

 SO HERE WE DAVID WANTS TO SHOW YOU HE IS AWARE OF THE REALITY OF WHAT HE IS GOING TO TALK ABOUT. LIFE.

IN THIS BOX ABOVE YOU FIND WORDS USED SYNONIMOUSLY WITH YEA, OR AT TIMES IN STEAD OF YEA. NOW ALL THIS WORDS TELL YOU DAVID IS AWARE OF WHATS HAPPENING IN HIS LIFE. OR LATER IN HIS LIFE. HE KNOWS HE HAS AN ENEMY WHO WILL ALWAYS TRY TO BRING THE REALITY OF HELL, SHADOW OF DEATH TO THIS PRESENT LIFE.

FROM THE FIRST LINE DAVID TELLS US THESE THINGS ,FROM

YEA THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH,

1-      HE IS WALKING

2-      HE IS PROGRESSING THROUGH,

3-       HE IS NOT STATIC OR CAMPING

4-      HE IS IN A VALLEY,

5-      IT’S A SHADOW

6-      THE MOUNTAIN IS THE SHADOW OF DEATH

7-      ITS CASTING A SHADOW OF DEATH

8-      NB. HE IS STILL ALIVE, HE IS STILL WALKING.

9-      THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT IS THAT HE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THERE IS A VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH. HE IS NOT IN DENIAL IT’S A REALITY.

DAVID SPEAKS WITH CONFIDENCE…YEA THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH.

LET’S SPEAK A LITTLE ABOUT THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH.

THERE IS A MAN WHO SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN THERE. ALTHOUGH THE BIBLE CALLS HIM PERFECT. ..SO EVEN PERFECT PEOPLE GO THROUGH THE VALLEY OF DEATH… IT’S JOB.

1-      WHO IS JOB?

Job1:1 (NKJV)

1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.
X

Job 1:1 (NLT

1 There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless—a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil.
.
Description: http://www.biblegateway.com/bg_versions/bgview.php?what=216Description: http://www.biblegateway.com/bg_versions/bgview.php?what=29

2-     THAT IS JOB, A MAN OF COMPLETE INTEGRITY, BLAMELESS, FEARED, GOD AND SHUNNED EVIL. YET JOB TALKS ABOUT BEING IN THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH.

JOB 10:21-22.

New King James Version (NKJV)
21 Before I go to the place from which I shall not return,
To the land of darkness and the shadow of death,
22 A land as dark as darkness itself,
As the shadow of death, without any order,
Where even the light is like darkness.
X

Job 10:21-22

New Living Translation (NLT)
21 before I leave—never to return—
for the land of darkness and utter gloom.
22
It is a land as dark as midnight,
a land of gloom and confusion,
where even the light is dark as midnight.’

 NOW IN THE ABOVE SCRIPTURE, JOB DESCRIBES WHAT THE LAND OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH IS LIKE.

IN BOTH TRANSLATIONS THE UNDERLINED WORDS SHOW BRIEFLY.

NOW WHAT IS IT THAT JOB DESCRIBES THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH?

JOB LOSES HIS PROPERTY AND CHILDREN

13 Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house; 14 and a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were ploughing and the donkeys feeding beside them, 15 when the Sabeans[c] raided them and took them away—indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

16 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

17 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels and took them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

18 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, 19 and suddenly a great wind came from across[d] the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

20 Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. 21 And he said:

Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

AS IF THIS WAS NOT ENOUGH READ THIS-

JOB 2:7-10.

New King James Version (NKJV)

7 So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. 8 And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes.

9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”

10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?”

In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

WHAT DOES JOB DESCRIBE AS THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH?

1-      LOSS OF CHIDREN

2-      LOSS OF OXEN AND DONKEYS

3-      LOSS OF SHEEP AND SERVANTS

4-      CAMELS AND SERVANTS

5-      LOSS OF HIS HEALTH.

6-      A FOOLISH WIFE (SPOUSE) WHO SAYS CURSE GOD AND DIE, SO THAT SHE CAN REMAIN. WHY DIDN’T SHE DO IT HERSELF SINCE ALL THAT THEY HAD BELONGED TO THEM TOGETHER?

7-      IT APPEARS SHE WAS NEVER PART OF THE WHOLE THING NOR DID SHE HAVE ANY INTEGRITY. SHE SAYS “DO YOU STILL HOLD ON TO YOUR INTEGRITY?” WHERE WAS HER INTERGRITY?

I DO UNDERSTAND WHY JOB SAW THIS AS THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH.

I PERSONALY THINK A SPOUSE LIKE THIS IS ITSELF A VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH. WHEN YOU LOSE SO MUCH AND YOUR SPOUSE WHO GOD SAID IS A HELPER, Genesis 2:18

New King James Version (NKJV)

18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

 IS ACTUALLY ENCOURAGING YOU TO CURSE GOD AND DIE, IT’S A DOUBLE TRAGEDY. JOB HAD A DOUBLE VALLEY OF DEATH.

NOW WHAT ABOUT DAVID?

 DAVID HAD MANY PROBLEMS OF WHICH IF WE COPIED THE SCRIPTURES WE COULD NEVER FINISH VERSE 4.

BUT SOME OF THEM ARE LISTED IN VERSE ONE OF THIS STUDY THEY WERE,

1-     REJECTION (Psalm 27:9-10

New King James Version (NKJV)

9 Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.
10 When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the
Lord will take care of me.

2-       ATTACK OF THE LION AND THE BEAR, AND GOLIATH

1 Samuel 17:34-37

New King James Version (NKJV)

34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, 35 I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” 37 Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”

And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”

3-    UDULTERY, MURDER, LUST, AND DECEITFULNESS AND DEATH OF HIS SON.

4-    BATHSHEBA 2 SAMUEL 11:2-5, 14-17.

5-    2 Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. 3 So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, “Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?” 4 Then David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house. 5 And the woman conceived; so she sent and told David, and said, “I am with child.”

6-    DAVID’S LIE AND MURDER PLOT. 14 In the morning it happened that David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it by the hand of Uriah. 15 And he wrote in the letter, saying, “Set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retreat from him, that he may be struck down and die.” 16 So it was, while Joab besieged the city, that he assigned Uriah to a place where he knew there were valiant men. 17 Then the men of the city came out and fought with Joab. And some of the people of the servants of David fell; and Uriah the Hittite died also.

HOW DO WE KNOW THAT DAVID WAS CRUSHED BY THIS EXPERIENCE? LOOK AT HIS RESPONSE TO THE PROPHET NATHAN'S REBUKE. Samuel 12:10-15

New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’ 11 Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbour, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. 12 For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.’”

13 So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”

And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die. 14 However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.” 15 Then Nathan departed to his house.

The Death of David’s Son

And the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and it became ill.

19 When David saw that his servants were whispering, David perceived that the child was dead. Therefore David said to his servants, “Is the child dead?”

And they said, “He is dead.”

LET’S READ PSALM 51 WHICH DESCRIBES DAVID’S REACTION TO HIS INIQUITY.

Psalm 31:9-15

New King James Version (NKJV)

9 Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am in trouble;
My eye wastes away with grief,
Yes, my soul and my body!
10 For my life is spent with grief,
And my years with sighing;
My strength fails because of my iniquity,
And my bones waste away.
11 I am a reproach among all my enemies,
But especially among my neighbours,
And am repulsive to my acquaintances
;
Those who see me outside flee from me.
12 I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind;
I am like a broken vessel.
13
For I hear the slander of many;
Fear is on every side;
While they take counsel together against me,
They scheme to take away my life.

14 But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord;
I say, “You are my God.”
15 My times are in Your hand;
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
And from those who persecute me.

WHEN DAVID COMMITED THIS SIN, HE MUST HAVE SURELY NOT IMAGINED THE REACTION OF PEOPLE, BUT NOW HE SEEMS TO BE SHOCKED AT THE RESPONSE OF HIS NEIBHOURS AND FRIENDS. SCHOLARS ARGUE THAT THE TONE OF THIS PASSAGE IN HEBREW IS ONE OF A TOMENTED MAN, OR A CHILD WHO HAS BEEN CRYING FOR A LONG TIME AND IS NOW TERRIFYED AND GASPING FOR BREATH. THEY SAY SO IS THE TONE OF PSALM 51.

Psalm 51

New King James Version (NKJV)

A Prayer of Repentance

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.

51 Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
4 Against You, You only, have
I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak,[a]
And blameless when You judge.

5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.

14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
The God of my salvation,
And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

18 Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion;
Build the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.

 WE CAN LEARN A LOT FROM THIS SCRIPTURE, BUT CONCERNING THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, THIS WAS NOT A PLEASANT TIME. IT IS A TIME OF PAIN, FEAR, AND DEATH THREATS.

AMNON DAVID’S SON RAPES TAMAR, HIS SISTER. 2 SAMUEL 13:1-2. 2 Samuel 13:1-2

New King James Version (NKJV)

Amnon and Tamar

13 After this Absalom the son of David had a lovely sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her. 2 Amnon was so distressed over his sister Tamar that he became sick; for she was a virgin. And it was improper for Amnon to do anything to her.

VERSES 10-21. 2 Samuel 13:10-21

10 Then Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the bedroom, that I may eat from your hand.” And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them to Amnon her brother in the bedroom. 11 Now when she had brought them to him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her, “Come, lie with me, my sister.”

12 But she answered him, “No, my brother, do not force me, for no such thing should be done in Israel. Do not do this disgraceful thing! 13 And I, where could I take my shame? And as for you, you would be like one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.” 14 However, he would not heed her voice; and being stronger than she, he forced her and lay with her.

15 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly, so that the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. And Amnon said to her, “Arise, be gone!”

16 So she said to him, “No, indeed! This evil of sending me away is worse than the other that you did to me.”

But he would not listen to her. 17 Then he called his servant who attended him, and said, “Here! Put this woman out, away from me, and bolt the door behind her.” 18 Now she had on a robe of many colors, for the king’s virgin daughters wore such apparel. And his servant put her out and bolted the door behind her.

19 Then Tamar put ashes on her head, and tore her robe of many colors that was on her, and laid her hand on her head and went away crying bitterly. 20 And Absalom her brother said to her, “Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now hold your peace, my sister. He is your brother; do not take this thing to heart.” So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

21 But when King David heard of all these things, he was very angry.

7-    ABSALOM  MURDERS AMNON HIS BROTHER. 2 SAMUEL 13

2 Samuel 13:28-33

New King James Version (NKJV)

28 Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, “Watch now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say to you, ‘Strike Amnon!’ then kill him. Do not be afraid. Have I not commanded you? Be courageous and valiant.” 29 So the servants of Absalom did to Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and each one got on his mule and fled.

30 And it came to pass, while they were on the way, that news came to David, saying, “Absalom has killed all the king’s sons, and not one of them is left!” 31 So the king arose and tore his garments and lay on the ground, and all his servants stood by with their clothes torn. 32 Then Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother, answered and said, “Let not my lord suppose they have killed all the young men, the king’s sons, for only Amnon is dead. For by the command of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar. 33 Now therefore, let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king’s sons are dead. For only Amnon is dead.”

8-     THE PURSUITS AND THREATS OF ABSALOAM, HIS SON. 2 SAMUEL 15:13-18 2 Samuel 15:13-18

New King James Version (NKJV)

David Escapes from Jerusalem

13 Now a messenger came to David, saying, “The hearts of the men of Israel are with Absalom.”

14 So David said to all his servants who were with him at Jerusalem, “Arise, and let us flee, or we shall not escape from Absalom. Make haste to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly and bring disaster upon us, and strike the city with the edge of the sword.”

15 And the king’s servants said to the king, “We are your servants, ready to do whatever my lord the king commands.” 16 Then the king went out with all his household after him. But the king left ten women, concubines, to keep the house. 17 And the king went out with all the people after him, and stopped at the outskirts. 18 Then all his servants passed before him; and all the Cherethites, all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men who had followed him from Gath, passed before the king.

VERSE 30

2 Samuel 15:30

New King James Version (NKJV)

30 So David went up by the Ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went up; and he had his head covered and went barefoot. And all the people who were with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they went up.

2 Samuel 17:1-4

New King James Version (NKJV)

17 Moreover Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Now let me choose twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue David tonight. 2 I will come upon him while he is weary and weak, and make him afraid. And all the people who are with him will flee, and I will strike only the king. 3 Then I will bring back all the people to you. When all return except the man whom you seek, all the people will be at peace.” 4 And the saying pleased Absalom and all the elders of Israel.

9-    DEATH OF ABSALOM 2 Samuel 15:30

2 Samuel 18:33

New King James Version (NKJV)

David’s Mourning for Absalom

33 Then the king was deeply moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept. And as he went, he said thus: “O my son Absalom—my son, my son Absalom—if only I had died in your place! O Absalom my son, my son!”.

10-                      SAUL PERSECUTES DAVID. 1 Samuel 19:1-2

New King James Version (NKJV)

Saul Persecutes David

19 Now Saul spoke to Jonathan his son and to all his servants, that they should kill David; but Jonathan, Saul’s son, delighted greatly in David. 2 So Jonathan told David, saying, “My father Saul seeks to kill you. Therefore please be on your guard until morning, and stay in a secret place and hide.

NOW I SUPPOSE YOU ARE WONDERING WHY THE HOLY SPIRIT WANTS TO DETAIL ALL THESE PROBLEMS IN DAVID’S LIFE. THIS IS WHAT HE MEANT WHEN HE SAID YEA THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH. WHO CAN DENY THAT THIS LIFE FITS THE DISCRIPTION OF THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH JOB GAVE US. JOB 10:21-22 Job 10:21-22

New Living Translation (NLT)

21 before I leave—never to return—
for the land of darkness and utter gloom.
22 It is a land as dark as midnight,
a land of gloom and confusion,
where even the light is dark as midnight.’”

WHEN YOU READ THESE PROBLEMS YOU MAY FIND THAT ONE OF THEM FITS YOUR SITUATION, YET YOU WERE WONDERING WHY YOU WERE IN SUCH A PLACE YET YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN, OR CHILD OF GOD.

THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH COMES TO WHOEVER EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE SAID TO BE BLAMELESS. THE GOOD NEWS IS HOW BOTH DAVID AND JOB RESPONDED TO THESE SITUATIONS.

 LOOK AT JOB, Job 1:21-22

New King James Version (NKJV)

21 And he said:

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the
Lord.”

22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

Job 2:10

New King James Version (NKJV)

10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

JOB DID NOT SIN WITH HIS LIPS.

NOW WHAT ABOUT DAVID?

1-    HE,  CALLS ON GOD

PSALM 31:14-17

14 But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord;
I say, “You are my God.”
15 My times are in Your hand;
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
And from those who persecute me.
16 Make Your face shine upon Your servant;
Save me for Your mercies’ sake.
17 Do not let me be ashamed, O Lord, for I have called upon You;
Let the wicked be ashamed

2-    HE ACKNOWLEDGES HIS SIN, ASKS FOR FORGIVENESS AND REPENTS

PSALM 51:1-4. Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
4 Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak,[
a]
And blameless when You judge.

HOW THEN DID THESE BLAMELESS MAN END UP IN THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH?

I BELIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT SHOWED ME THINGS WHICH I WOULD LOVE TO SHARE WITH YOU. IF YOU FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT, HE IS THE TEACHER. IT’S EASY TO SEE HOW DAVID ENDED UP IN ALL THOSE PROBLEMS AFTER SINNING WITH BATHSHEBA. BUT HOW DID THE ENEMY TRAP HIM LIKE THAT? LOOK AT THIS

2 Samuel 11:1-3

New King James Version (NKJV)

David, Bathsheba, and Uriah

11 It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem.

2 Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. 3 So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, “Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?”

NOW HERE DAVID DID 3 THINGS

1-      HE WAS IN THE WRONG PLACE. OTHER KINGS WERE AT WAR HE REMAINED AT HOME

2-      DAVID SAW A NAKED WOMAN AND STARTED TO BEHOLD.

MEANING OF BEHOLD-

1. (v. t.) To have in sight; to see clearly; to look at; to regard with the eyes.

2. (v. i.) To direct the eyes to, or fix them upon, an object; to look; to see. IT WAS NOT A GLANCE, HE STARTED TO LET HIS EYES TO LINGER IN SUCH A WAY THAT THOUGHTS STARTED TO FORM IN HIS MIND.

3-      DAVID WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO INQUIRE, EVEN THOUGH HE WAS TOLD ITS WIFE OU URIAH, HE OULDNT STOP THE EVIL THAT HE HAD CONCEIVED IN HIS MIND. HE COULD HAVE STOPPED RIGHT THERE WHEN HE WAS TOLD SHE IS A MARRIED WOMAN, AND HER HUSBAND IS AT WAR FIGHTING FOR ISRAEL. HE COULD HAVE QUESTIONED HIMSELF THERE. THIS LEADS US TO GODS RESPONSE TO LURKING SIN. LET’S LEARN FROM CAIN.

GENESIS 4 :5-9

5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.

your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”

8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother;[a] and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?”

4-    SIN LIES AT YOUR DOOR YOU SHOULD RULE OVER IT. OTHERWISE DO NOT PROCESS SINFUL THOUGHTS IN YOUR HEAD. RULE OVER THEM.

DAVID SHOULD HAVE RULED OVER THAT SIN, YOU CAN SEE THAT GOD .PROVIDED THE OPORTUNITIES OF ESCAPE, SO WILL YOU,

YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A WAY OF ESCAPE.

1.     1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:12-14 (in Context) 1 Corinthians 10 (Whole Chapter)

WE GO TO JOB,

 WE KNOW THAT JOB NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY HE SUFFERED, OR WHY HE ENDED UP IN THIS SITUATION. BUT WE CAN LEARN FROM THE TEXT. JOB SAYS

Job 3:25-26

New King James Version (NKJV)

25 For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me,
And what I dreaded has happened to me.
26 I am not at ease, nor am I quiet;
I have no rest, for trouble comes.”

JOB HAD MOVED FROM FAITH IN THE PROTECTION OF GOD BY HIS GRACE AND MERCY, HE WAS NOW LIVING IN A LAND OF BELIEVING HIS SACRIFICES CAN BUY HIM FAVOUR AND PROTECTION.

IT APPEARS HE KNEW HIS CHILDREN WERE SINING, INSTEAD OF TEACHING THEM THE WAYS OF THE LORD, HE WOULD GO AND TRY TO APEASE GOD EVERY TIME HIS CHILDREN HAD A PARTY. IT WAS NOW HIS LIFE STYLE. LOOK

JOB 1:4-6! 4 And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed[a] God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.

JOB ATTRACTED THE ENEMY BY FEAR, AND ALSO BY THE TIME THE ENEMY ACCUSED HIM, HE WAS ALREADY IN THE ENEMY’S CAMP. GOD IS NOT IMPRESSED BY PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN FEAR. ISRAEL GOT INTO TROUBLE AND WENT THROUGH A TIME OF OPPRESSION BECAUSE THEY LIVED IN FEAR. WHEN THEY INQUIRED OF THE LORD, GOD GAVE FEAR AS THE RESON OF THEIR TROUBLE. LET’S READ JUDGES 6.

JUDGES 6

NEW KING JAMES VERSION (NKJV)

MIDIANITES OPPRESS ISRAEL

6 Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord. So the Lord delivered them into the hand of Midian for seven years, 2 and the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel. Because of the Midianites, the children of Israel made for themselves the dens, the caves, and the strongholds which are in the mountains. 3 So it was, whenever Israel had sown, Midianites would come up; also Amalekites and the people of the East would come up against them. 4 Then they would encamp against them and destroy the produce of the earth as far as Gaza, and leave no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep nor ox nor donkey. 5 For they would come up with their livestock and their tents, coming in as numerous as locusts; both they and their camels were without number; and they would enter the land to destroy it. 6 So Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord.

7 And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried out to the Lord because of the Midianites, 8 that the Lord sent a prophet to the children of Israel, who said to them, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I brought you up from Egypt and brought you out of the house of bondage; 9 and I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out before you and gave you their land. 10 Also I said to you, “I am the Lord your God; do not fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.” But you have not obeyed My voice.’

CAN YOU IMAGINE SUCH OPPRESION, WHERE ISRAEL LIVED IN CAVES BECAUSE THEY ATTRACTED THE ENEMY THROUGH FEAR. GOD HATES FEAR BECAUSE IT’S THE ENEMY’S LIFESTYLE. THE DEVIL RULES BY IMPOSING FEAR, GOD RULES BY PEACE. WHEN JESUS COMES HE BRINGS PEACE EVEN IF THE ROOM IS FULL OF FEAR. THE DISCIPLES AFTER THE RESURECTION OF JESUS WERE FILLED WITH FEAR, JESUS CAME AND SAID PEACE. EPHESIANS SAYS HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE

Christ Our Peace

EPHESIANS 2:-18.

14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

LOOK AT WHAT GOD SAID TO SATAN CONCERNING JOBS POSITION.

JOB 1: 12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

GOD PROTECTED JOB BUT HIS FEAR HAD OPENED THE DOOR OF ATTACK ON HIS POSESSION.

NOW LETS REVIEW WHAT WE HAVE LEANT SO FAR!

THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS LED US TO LOOK AT THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH,

1-      IT’S REAL, ITS HAPPENS, BUT IT’S ONLY A SHADOW.

WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH IT, THERE IS HOPE BECAUSE YOU ARE GOING THROUGH, YOU ARE NOT CAMPING , and it’s A PROGRESSION.

SOME TRANSLATION SAY PASS THROUGH.

2-      WE LOOKED AT THE TWO MEN IN THE BIBLE WHO WENT THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, YET THE BIBLE CALLS THEM BLAME LESS.WE LOOKED AT WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN THE REASON THAT ENDED THEM THERE (FEAR AND LUST).

3-      WE ALSO EXAMINED THE TRAGEDY,S THAT BEFELL THESE MAN, SO THAT IF SOMEBODY IS GOING THROUGH THEM, THEY MAY REGNISE THAT THEY ARE, OR HAVE BEEN TO THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH.

4-      REMEMBER BEING IN THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH DOES NOT DIMINISH YOUR STATE OF BEING BLAMELESS BEFORE GOD.

5-      YOU ONLY LEARN SOME LESSONS, WHILE CREATING AN OCCASION FOR OTHERS TO LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES.

6-      THEY COME BECAUSE OF DOORS WE OPEN IN LIFE KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY. JOB DIDN’T KNOW, DAVID KNEW. IT’S ONLY TOWARDS THE END THAT JOB ADMITS HE WAS WRONG AND REPENTS. SEE THIS-

JOB 42

NEW KING JAMES VERSION (NKJV)

JOB’S REPENTANCE AND RESTORATION

42 Then Job answered the Lord and said:

2 “I know that You can do everything,
And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’
Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand,
Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.
4 Listen, please, and let me speak;
You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’

5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear,
But now my eye sees You.
6 Therefore I abhor myself,
And repent in dust and ashes.”

I BELIEVE AT THIS TIME GOD HAD REVEALED TO JOB WHAT LED TO THESE SORROWS.

HE SAYS IN VERSE 5 ABOVE, 5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear,But now my eye sees You"..

THIS PHRASE SPEAKS OF HEARING WITH UNDERSTANDING NOT JUSTNOISE IN THE EYE. NOT ONLY DOES JOB SEE WHAT’S GOING ON, HE NOW UNDERSTANDS WHAT’S GOING ON. NOW HE UNDERSTANDS AND SEES GOD. HE ALSO SEES WITH THE EYES OF UNDERSTANDING.HE HAD PROPHESIED ABOUT THIS TIME EVEN THOUGH HE DIDN’T KNOW.

 SEE THIS.

Job 19:25-27

New King James Version (NKJV)

25 For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth;
26 And after my skin is destroyed, this I know,
That in my flesh I shall see God,
27 Whom I shall see for myself,
And my eyes shall behold, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!

NOW IF SOMEBODY SAID WHAT IS THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, LEAD THEM TO JOB, ITS ADAY OF PAIN, CONFUSION, WHERE DARKNESS SHINES AS THE LIGHT.

IT MAY BE,

1-    SICKNESS AND DISEASE

2-    LOSS OF CHIDREN

3-    LOSS OF PROPERTY

4-    LOSS OF SERVANTS

5-    FOOLISH SPOUSE

6-    LOSS OF POSSESIONS

7-    THREAT TO LIFE,

8-    MURDER

9-    RAPE

10-                       LUST AND UDULTEY

11-                       INCEST

12-                       LOSS OF STATUS AND EARNINGS

13-                       REJECTION

14-                       MISSUNDERSTANDING

15-                       PAIN

16-                       SPIRITUAL INSTABILITY

17-                       FLEEING FROM AN ENERY

18-                       DEMONIC ATTACKS

19-                       LONLINESS

20-                       SIN.

WHAT DO YOU?

1-    CALL ON GOD,

2-    REPENT

3-    WORSHIP

4-    READ THE BIBLE

5-    DON’T BLAME GOD

6-    SEEK AN EAR OF HEARING

7-    AND EYES THAT SEE GOD.

8-    ACKNOWLEDGE WHERE YOU FAILED

9-    FORGIVE THOSE INVOLVED

10-                       MOVE ON.

REMEMBER THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, DOESN’T SEND YOU TO HELL, IT DOESN’T, KILL YOU, DOESN’T ALTER YOUR BLAMELESS STATUS WITH GOD.

IT’S AN OCCASION FOR LEARNING THE HARD WAY, NEVER THE LESS YOU STILL REMAIN WITH GOD.

WE CAN NOW CONTINUE ON THE NEXT LINE OF VERSE 4

 PSALM 23 VERSE 4

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me
.

I WILL FEAR NO EVI.!

DAVID PURPOSES TOFEAR NO EVIL, ALTHOUGH EVIL IS PRESENT, CASTING SHADOWS DAVID SAYS I DAVID, WILL NOT FEAR YOU EVIL. I WILL NOT HOLD YOU IN HIGH REGARD, I WILL NOT WORSHIP YOU EVIL BY TALKING AND EXALTING YOU, I WILL NOT REPEAT YOUR STORIES AND TOMENTS TO ANYONE, AND I WILL NOT PRAISE YOU, NOR ESTEEM YOU. ALL THE WORDS DESCRIBED ABOVE EXPLAIN FEAR

LOOK-

Piel.5 Perfect3masculine suffix יֵָֽרְאֻנִי 2 Samuel 14:15; Infinitive suffix לְיָָֽרְאֵנִי Nehemiah 6:19; לְיָֽרְאָם2Chronicles 32:18; Participle plural מְיָָֽרְאִים Nehemiah 6:9,14 make afraid, terrify, with accusative

NOW READING AND STUDYING THE WORD FEAR, YOU SIMPLY COME TO REALISE THAT IT’S ONLY GOD YOU FEAR, HIM ONLY SHOULD BE YOUR DREAD.

JESUS EXPLAINED THIS

 MATTHEW 10:28

28“Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29“Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31“So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

 DEUTORONOMY 6:13 “ You shall fear only the LORD your God; and you shall worship Him and swear by His name.

King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shall swear by his name.

WHEN YOU FEAR EVIL, YOU ARE PUTTING EVIL IN THE PLACE OF GOD, BECAUSE ALL THE WORDS DESCRIBING FEAR ARE IN SCRIPTURES THAT RELATE TO HOW YOU SHOULD REVERENCE GOD.  GOD IS THE ONLY ONE YOU SHOULD BE IN AWE OF.MANY CHILDREN OF GOD HAS A GREAT IDOL THAT THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW ABOUT. THIS IDOL IS FAITHFUL TO BRING ITS GIFTS TO THE PERSON. IT’S VERY DILIGENT IN SUPPLYING PEOPLE WITH ITS FRUITS. IT’S CALLED FEAR. NOW WHAT IS AN IDOL? SOMETHING THAT YOU HOLD IN HIGH ESTEEM, AWE, REVERENCE, TAKES UP ALL YOU BEING. YOU BECOME ABSORBED IN IT AS A WHOLE, SOUL SPIRIT AND BODY. YOU TALK ABOUT IT ALL THE TIME. DISCUSS IT WITH EVERYONE, PLAN YOUR LIFE AROUND AND MAKE PLANS. FOR SOME IT’S FEAR, AND PROBLEMS. TALKING ABOUT THEM, DISCUSSING, THEM, PLANING AOUND THEM, THINKING ABOUT THEM IN SUCH A WAY THAT YOU ARE CONSUMED. THAT THING BECOMES AN IDOL. SO MANY PEOPLE WILL DO DRASTIC THINGS BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID OF….AN PLAN THEY DO IS A RESULT OF TRYING TO COMBACT FEAR, OR MAKING SURE IT DOESN’T HAPPEN. BUT FEAR IS A SPIRIT, IT LOVES ATTENTION. EVEN IFYOU DON’T TALK ABOUT IT, IT KNOWS WHEN YOU ARE GIVING IT ATTENTION. SO IT DELIVERS THAT VERY THING YOU ARE AFRAID OF. THAT’S JOB SAID, THE THING I FEARED MOST HAS COME TO ME. JOB 3:25

 Job 3:25

New King James Version (NKJV)

25 For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me,
And what I dreaded has happened to me.

YET HOW MANY TIMES DOES THE WORD SAY DO NOT FEAR

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Isaiah 41:9-11 (in Context) Isaiah 41 (Whole Chapter)

DEUTORONOMY 31:6

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
(NKJV)

1 Chronicles 28:20
David also said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.
(NIV)

Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

JOB ATTRACTED FEAR AND FEAR ATTRACTED THE ENEMY. BECAUSE HE HAD NOT SINNED WILLFULY GOD SPARED HIS LIFE BUT HE STILL LOST HIS POSESSIONS AND CHILDREN. HE WAS SACRIFICING TO GOD BECAUSE OF FEAR OF WHAT MIGHT COME UPON HIS CHILDREN. FEAR FAITHFULLY DELIVERED WHAT HE WAS AFRAID OF. HE EVEN LOST MORE THAN WHAT HE WAS AFRAID OF. HE ALSO LOST HIS LIVESTOCK. BEWARE OF FEAR,.DONT MAKE IT AN IDOL. THE WORD TELLS US WHAT ME MUST TALK ABOUT.

Joshua 1:8-9

New King James Version (NKJV)

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Proverbs 4:20-23

New King James Version (NKJV)

20 My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.

Proverbs 3:21 My son, let them not vanish from your sight; Keep sound wisdom and discretion,

Proverbs 7:1 My son, keep my words And treasure my commandments within you.

Proverbs 7:2 Keep my commandments and live, And my teaching as the apple of your eye. (NASB ©1995)

I DON’T THINK YOU CAN EVER FINISH DESRIBING ALL SORTS OF EVIL MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE. BUT IF YOU TAKE TIME TO LOOK CLOSELY YOU WILL REALISE EVIL COVERS A LONG WIDE VARIETY OF THINGS IN LIFE. SOME OF THE WORDS THAT CAUGHT MY EYES WERE EVIL NEIGHBOURS, MALGNANT BOILS, SLANDERS, EVIL SPIRITS CAUSING VIOLENCE AND DISTRESS.

DAVID SAYS IN PSALM 23:, I WILL FEAR NO EVIL. DAVID SAYS ALL THESE THINGS MENTIONED HERE HE IS NOT AFRAID OF THEM WOW!. SOME PEOPLE FRET OVER THESE THINGS, DAVID SAYS HE IS NOT AFRAID OF THEM WHY?

HE TELLS US IN THE NEXT SENTECE.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

For You are with me;

HOW? WHY IS DAVID SAYING FOR YOU ARE WITH ME!
WHERE IN THE WORD ARE WE TOLD THAT WE SHOULD NOT FEAR EVIL?OR THE EVIL ONE WHO BRINGS EVIL? WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS NECESSARY FOR THAT KIND OF LIFE STYLE?MATTHEW 6:13-(NKJV)And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.(NIV) And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'

NB.YOU HAVE TO BE IN THE KINGDOM. MATTHEW 5-6 TALKS ABOUT LIFESTYLE IN THE KINGDOM. HOW YOU BEHAVE AS A CHILD IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN LIFESTYLE FOR THOSE IN THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS, THOSE THAT ARE RELIGIOUS AND THOSE IN THE KINGDOM OF LIGHT. WHEN JESUS CAME HE DEMANDED A DIFFERENT KIND OF LIFESTYLE, WAY OF THINKING, AND BEHAVIOUR THAN THAT WHICH WAS PREVALENT AT THAT TIME. A RELIGIOUS ATTITUDE WITHOUT FRUIT THAT RESEMBLE KINGDOM MENTALITY WAS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE. SO HE COMES AND SAYS REPENT, CHANGE YOUR MIND, CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE, CHANGE YOUR WAY OF THINKING, FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND.

HE THEN SITS DOWN IN MATTHEW 5 AND TEACHES THEM BEHAVIOUR OF THOSE IN THE KING DOM. PLEASE BE PATIENT TO READ AND UNDERSTAND.

 JESUS BEGINS HIS GALILEAN MINISTRY

12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, He departed to Galilee. 13 And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, 14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

15 “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,
By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan,
Galilee of the Gentiles:
16 The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light,
And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death
Light has dawned.”[
f]

17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “REPENT, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

THE MEANING OF THE WORD REPENT HAS TO DO WITH ONE’S MINDSET. THESE PEOPLE WERE RELIGIOUS, BUT THEIR WAY OF LIFE AND WAY OF THINKING WAS TOTALLY OPPOSITE TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD MENTALITY. SO JESUS HAD TO START WITH ATTACKING THEIR WAY OF THINKING. HE TOLD THEM TO REPENT OR CHANGE THEIR WAY OF THINKING.

NOW LOOK AT MATTHEW 5.

 The Beatitudes

5 And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. 2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Believers Are Salt and Light

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Christ Fulfills the Law

17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Murder Begins in the Heart

21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder,[a] and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause[b] shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. 26 Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny.

Adultery in the Heart

27 “You have heard that it was said to those of old,[c] ‘You shall not commit adultery.’[d] 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

Marriage Is Sacred and Binding

31 “Furthermore it has been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32 But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality[e] causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.

Jesus Forbids Oaths

33 “Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.’ 34 But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; 35 nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36 Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. 37 But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

Go the Second Mile

38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’[f] 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

Love Your Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor[g] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,[h] 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren[i] only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors[j] do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

THEN HE CALLS HIS DISCIPLES AND BEGINS DOING MIRACLES AND  HEALING THE SICK.

 MATTHEW 4:12-23.

Four Fishermen Called as Disciples

18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

21 Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

Jesus Heals a Great Multitude

23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. 24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. 25 Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

NOW IN CHAPTER 5 HE SITS DOWN AND BEGINS TO TEACH ABOUT KINGDOM BEHAVIOUR, MENTALITY AND EXPECTATIONS. MAY BE DEALING WITH ISSUES THAT HE HAD OBSERVED DROM WHEN HE WAS YOUNG AS A RABBI, AND ALSO WHAT HE HAD BEGUN TO SEE AND HEAR AS HE HAD BEGUN TO TEACH PRINCIPLES OF THE KINGDOM. HE WAS NOW TEACHING THEM WHAT THEY NEED TO REPENT FROM, AND WHAT BEHAVIOUR WAS EXPECTED OF THEM. HE COULDN’T HAVE JUST SAID REPENT  FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND, WITHOUT TEACHING THEM WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THOSE IN THE KINGDOM.

IF YOU LOOK AT THE TOPICS IN CHAPTER 5 IN RED AND UNDERLINED, THEY PRETTY MUCH SUM UP THE RELIGIOUS THINKING THAT WAS ACCEPTABLE AT THAT TIME.

AND JESUS SEEMS TO CONDEMN IT IN SUCH A WAY HE WAS ACCUSED OF CHANGING THE LAW. LOOK AT V17.

NB. WE ARE STILL EXAMINING THE LIFESTYLE THAT LEADS US TO BE FREE FROM FEAR OF EVIL, OR THE EVIL ONE.

NOW IN VERSE 23 JESUS  EXPLAINS AN INTRESTING POINT. . 20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

THIS VERSE TELLS US THE PEOPLE AND THE PHARISEES AND THE SCRIBES WERE LIVING A CERTAINLIFE STYLE THAT THEY CALLED RIGHTEUOSNESS. BUT JESUS SAYS IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN MORE IS REQUIRED FOR YOU TO ENTER INTO IT.

WHAT IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD/HEAVEN. ? . ITS MADE UP OF TWO WORDS, KING AND DOMAIN. KINGDOM.

ITS AN ATMOSPHERE WHERE THE KING REIGNS. HIS DOMAIN, WHERE HIS WILL DOMINATES. ITS NOT ONLY IN HEAVEN,  THOUGH THAT’S WHERE THOSE WHO ENTER END UP LIVING ETERNALLY, BUT IT COMMENCES ON EARTH. IT’S A LIFESTYLE WHERE GOD RULES AND HIS ENVIRONMENT IS EXPERIENCED BY HIS CHILDREN ON EARTH. AND JESUS HERE SAYS IN ORDER TO ENTER INTO IT  YOU NEED…RIGHTEOUSNESS. BUT WHAT KIND BECAUSE THE ONE THEY THOUGHT WAS ACCEPTABLE JESUS HAD JUST CONDEMNED AND SAID THEY NEED TO REPENT FROM,

20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS OF THAT DAY HAD A RIGHTEOUNESS THAT WAS NOT GENUINE. THEY WERE ACCUSED BY JESUS TO BE HYPOCRITES, THEY MADE LAWS THAT THEMSELVES DID NOT KEEP.

Matthew 23

New King James Version (NKJV)

Woe to the Scribes and Pharisees

23 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, 2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe,[a] that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. 4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5 But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. 6 They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, 7 greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’ 8 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ,[b] and you are all brethren. 9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. 11 But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. 14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses,   and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.[c]

15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

16 “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it. 17 Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies[d] the gold? 18 And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obliged to perform it. 19 Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift? 20 Therefore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all things on it. 21 He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him who dwells[e] in it. 22 And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it.

23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.[f] 26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, 30 and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’

31 “Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. 33 Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? 34 Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, 35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36 Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

Jesus Laments over Jerusalem

37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! 38 See! Your house is left to you desolate; 39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!.

PLEASE STUDY THE CONDUCT CONDEMNED BY THE LORD FOR HE SAYS BECAUSE OF THESE CONDUCTS THEY COULD NOT ESCAPE THE  CONDEMNATION OF HELL. BUT NOTE SOMETHING IMPORTANT IN VERSE 1 JUST IN CASE YOU FALL INTO THAT TRAP.

MATTTHEW 23

 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, 2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe,[a] that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. 4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5

THE TRAP OF EITHER RESENTING YOUR PASTORS BECAUSE OF THEIR CONDUCT, OR DOING WHAT THEY DO EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW ITS WRONG.

LOOK, FIRST JESUS ACKNOWLEDGED THE POSITION OF THE SCRIBES AND PHARISEES. HE SAID THEY SEAT IN THE SEAT OF MOSES. THAT MEANS THEY WERE THE LAW GIVERS. THEY HAD THE RESPONSIBILITY OF TEACHING THE LAW. JESUS SAYS DO WHAT THEY SAY, FOR THEY ARE TEACHING THE LAW, BUT DON’T DO WHAT THEY DO. JESUS SAID THEY DO WHAT IS CONTRARY TO THE LAW THEY TEACH.

THEY TIE HEAVY BURDENS FOR THE PEOPLE BUT THEY THEMSELVES DON’T DO THEM. WOW! JESUS SAID THEY CLEAN THE OUTSIDE OF THE CUP, BUT LEAVE THE INSIDE DIRTY. THEY MAKE YOU THINK THEY ARE HOLY YET THE JESUS SAYS THEY ARE SONS OF HELL. JESUS SAID THEY ARE LIKE WHITEWASHED TOMBS, WHICH APPEAR CLEAN OUTSIDE.. BUT INSIDE CONTAIN DEAD BODIES AND ALL SORTS.

THIS CHAPTER IS AN EYE OPENER FOR YOU. READ AND DO A THOROUGH SELF EXAMINATION OF YOUR SELF. I HOPE YOU DON’T FIT THE DISCRIPTION OF THE SCRIBES AND PHARISEES. SCHOLARS SAY GOD GAVE THEM 10 COMMANDMENTS, BUT BY THIS TIME THEY HAD BETWEEN 500-600 ADDED LAWS. THEIR JUSTIFICATION WAS THAT THEY WERE AVOIDING THE SINS THAT LED THEM TO CAPTIVITY. SO IN THEIR OWN STRENGTH THEY ADDED LAW AFTER LAW AND LITERALY MADE IT HARD TO KEEP THE LAW. THAT IS WHERE THEY CAME WITH LAWS LIKE YOU CANT HEAL ON A SABBATH, OR CARRY YOUR BED, YET JESUS SAID WHICH ONE OF YOU WOULD NOT RESCUE HIS DONKEY IF IT FELL IN A PIT ON A SABBATH? SO IF CONDITIONS WERE TOUGH THEY BROKE THE LAW BUT WOULD NOT LET OTHERS DO SO. THAT IS WHY JESUS CALLED THEM HYPOCRITES( SOMEBODY WHO LIVES A DOUBLE LIFESTYLE, AND PRETENDS TO BE SOMETHING THEY ARE NOT.I WILL PICK UP THE ISSUE OF DIVORCE HERE. SOMEBODY SAID THEY WERE USING THE PERMIT MOSES GAVE THEM FOR DIVORCE TO GET RID OF THEIR WIVES.IF THEY DIDN’T WANT HER ANYMORE SAID SHE DID THIS… AND SO SOUGHT DIVORSE. SO JESUS HAD TO EXPLAIN THE ISSUE OF DIVORCE.

Divorce

31 It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’[a] 32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

New International Version (NIV)

Divorce

19 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the Jordan. 2 Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?”
4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”
8 JESUS REPLIED, “MOSES PERMITTED YOU TO DIVORCE YOUR WIVES BECAUSE YOUR HEARTS WERE HARD. BUT IT WAS NOT THIS WAY FROM THE BEGINNING. 9 I TELL YOU THAT ANYONE WHO DIVORCES HIS WIFE, EXCEPT FOR SEXUAL IMMORALITY, AND MARRIES ANOTHER WOMAN COMMITS ADULTERY.”
10 The disciples said to him, “If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.”
11 Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others—and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

Matthew 19

New King James Version (NKJV)

Marriage and Divorce

19 Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, that He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. 2 And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there.
3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?”
4 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made[a] them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’[b] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?[c] 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
7 They said to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?”
8 He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality,[d] and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”

10 His disciples said to Him, “If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry.” Jesus Teaches on Celibacy

11 But He said to them, “All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given: 12 For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”

THEY PERMITTED DIVORSE FOR NO MAJOR REASON, THE ONE BEING PERMITTED WAS SEXUAL IMMORALITY. WHY ONLY SEXUAL IMMORALITY?ITS BECAUSE WHEN TWO PEOPLE HAVE SEX THEY JOIN TOGETHER THEIR SOULS AT A VERY HIGH INTIMATE LEVEL. THEY EACH EXCHANGE , AND MINGLE SOUL AND SPIRIT IN SUCH A WAY THAT WHEN THEY REACH CLIMAX AT THAT TIME YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO TELL WHO IS WHO. THEY ALSO EXCHANGE SPIRITS OR SPIRITS PASS ON FREELY FROM ONE ANOTHER WITHOUT HINDERANCE BECAUSE AT THAT TIME THEY ARE ONE. ITS ONLY THE WORD OF GOD THAT CAN SEPARATE THEM AT THAT POINT. BECAUSE THE WORD OF GOD IS…Hebrews 4:11-14

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Word Discovers Our Condition

11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

SO IF ONE COMMITS SEXUAL IMMORALITY THEY JOIN THEMSELVES WITH THE OTHER PERSON, EXCHANGE CERTAIN SPIRITUAL GIFTS BOTH GOOD AND BAD DEPENDING ON WHAT THE OTHER PERSON HAS. THAT MEANS IF THEY HAVE CERTAIN DISEASES THAT ARE SPIRITUAL, THEY CAN BE EXCHANGED THERE, AND EVEN DEMONS. SOME DEMONS ENTER A PERSON THROUGH THE DOORWAY OF SEX. ITS IMPORTANT TO THINK OF THIS BEFORE YOU BECOME SEXUALY ACTIVE WITH ANYONE. NOW IF YOU ARE MARRIED THINK OF THE REPACKATIONS OF ADULTERY. THINK OF WHAT YOU WOULD BE BRINGING YOUR SPOUSE THAT NIGHT. VERY SOBERING. BY THE WAY EVEN IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN IF YOU OPEN THE DOOR TO DEMONS THEY WILL ENTER YOU AND POSSESS YOU. LOOK FOR A BOOK BY KENNETH HAGIN SENIOR, I BELIEVE IN VISIONS. THAT BOOK CONTAINS A TEACHING BY JESUS TO KENNETH ABOUT HOW DEMONS POSSESS A PERSON. JESUS SAID EVEN IF THEY ARE BORN AGAIN IF THEY OPEN THAT DOOR THE ENEMY WILL POSSESS THEM. SO IF A MAN/WOMAN GOES AND COMBINES HIS/HER SOUL WITH SOMEBODY, THE FAITHFUL SPOUSE CAN DIVORSE THEM. THIS IS SO TRUE IF THE LORD EVER OPENED TO YOU THE SOULISH AND SPIRITUAL IMPLICATIONS OF SEX, YOU WOULD NEVER DO IT WITH ANYONE OUTSIDE MARRIAGE. IT’S A DEADLY EXERCISE THAT IS SO DAMAGING IN THE WRONG ENVIRONMENT ITS SHOCKING. FOR EXAMPLE IF A MAN SLEEPS WITH HIS BROTHER’S WIFE, WHAT HAPPENS THERE? WHEN TWO PEOPLE HAVE SEX THEY BECOME ONE, SO IF YOU GO AND SLEEP WITH YOUR BROTHER’S WIFE, SPIRITUAL YOU HAVE SLEPT WITH YOUR BROTHER.   AT LEAST YOU GET THE REASON WHY JESUS SAID ITS ONLY SEXUAL IMMORALITY THAT IS A VALID REASON FOR DIVORSE.IF YOU HAVE ALREADY MESSED UP, GO TO JESUS, REPENT, AND CHANGE YOUR WAY OF THINKING. THEN ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT TO SANCTIFY YOU AND MAKE YOU A WORTHY CHILD OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

NOW BACK TO JESUS, RELIGIOUS LEADERS.

 JESUS GOES ON TO EXPLAIN SOMETHING PROFOUND IN MATTHEW 6:1-6.

HE SAYS,-

·        DO NOT BE A HYPOCRITE BY SHOWING OFF WHAT YOU DO FOR THE FATHER, IN THE KINGDOM IN SUCH A WAY THAT YOU RECEIVE GLORY FROM MEN. HETELLS YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO DO. JESUS ALWAYS TEACHES IN SUCH A WAY THAT YOU REMAIN KNOWING WHAT IS EXPECTED. MATTHEW 6:1-4. 6 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.[a]

·        YOU HAVE TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FATHER….IN VS 4-6.WHAT JESUS IS SAYING YOU NEED TO KNOW GOD AS A FATHER YOU CAN TALK TO. REALISE THAT WHEN YOU DO THINGS IN THE KINGDOM YOU ARE DOING FOR HIM NOT FOR PEOPLE, AND HE IS WATCHING. HE IS A FATHER WHO REWARDS GOOD DEEDS. HE IS WATCHING AND IS INTRESTED IN WHAT YOU ARE DOING, AND THE WAY YOU DO IT WILL DETERMINE YOUR REWARDS.

·        PRAYER IS IMPORTANT IN THE KINGDOM, AND THERE ARE PROCEDURES. IT’S A WAY OF COMMUNICATING WITH THE FATHER. ITS NOT OPEN DISPLAY OF PIETY. NO ONE EVER WENT TO TALK TO THEIR FATHER BY GOING TO THE STREET CORNER TO SHOUT SO THAT PEOPLE KNOW THEY TALK TO THEIR FATHER. WHEN EVER YOU TALK TO YOUR FATHER YOU GO PRIVATELY, IN SECRET. JESUS SPENT TIME IN PRAYER, ACCORDING TO LUKE BUT HE ALWAYS WENT PRIVATELY BY HIMSELF TO TALK TO HIS FATHER. AS MUCH AS HE LOVED THE DISCIPLES, WHEN IT WAS TIME TO TALK TO HIS FATHER,  IT WAS PRIVATE. HE WOULD RATHER GO TO THE MOUNTAIN AND SPEND THE NIGHT THERE BY HIMSELF, WHY? BECAUSE TO HIM PRAYER TIME WAS A TWO WAY COMMUNICATION AND FELLOWSHIP TIME. IT WAS HIS TIME TO TELL THE FATHER OF HIS DAY, MINISTRY, AND TALK TO HIM ABOUT EVERYTHING, CHALLENGES, SUCCESSES, AND OBSTACLES ETC. I AM IMAGINING HIS JOY AND RELIEF WHEN IT WAS TIME TO GO TO THE FATHER. HE KNEW ONLY THE FATHER, REALY KNEW WHO JESUS WAS, AND WAS A RELIEF TO TALK TO SOMEONE SO GENTLY, LOVING, UNDERSTANDING AND KIND. AND OF COURSE FOR JESUS IT WAS NICE TO TALK TO SOMEBODY NOT CONFUSED, PERPEXED OR IGNORANT. THAT’S WHY I BELIEVE HE SPENT THE WHOLE NIGHT THERE, NOT EVEN SLEEPING, IT WAS HIS TIME OF EMPOWERING AND REFRESHING AND STRENGTHENING. THAT SHOULD BE OUR VIEW OF PRAYER TOO. TIME WITH DADDY! A RELIEF TO SPEND TIME WITH SOMEONE NOT CONFUSED OR IGNORANT. SOMEONE WHON IS NOT SCARED OR GOING THROUGH SOMETHING. HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT WHEN YOU TRY TO HAVE A DEEP MEANINGFUL CONVERSATION WITH SOMEONE, THEY TELL YOU WHAT THEY ARE GOING THROUGH, OR WHAT SOMEONE IN A WORSE SITUATION IS GOING THROUGH. ITS AMAZING TO SPEND TIME WITH THE FATHER. HE IS NOT GOING THROUGH ANYTHING, I CAN TELL YOU. AND HE IS NOT GOING TO RELATE TO YOU A WORSE SITUATION SO AS TO SHUT YOU UP. HE LISTENS INTENTLY, AND WORKS WITH YOU WITH SO MUCH LOVE, PEACE, AND ACCEPTANCE THAT YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE JUST TAKEN A REFRESHING SHOWER. AND THAT’S WHAT IT IS SPIRITUALY. A TIME TO TAKE A BATH, A SOAKING IN HIS PRESENCE, NOT IN A HURRY. HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT GOD IS ALWAYS ON THE THRONE, THAT’S TO SHOW YOU HE IS ALWAYS THERE WHATEVER TIME YOU COME AND IS NOT IN A HURRY TO GO ANYWHERE. NOT EVEN IN A HURRY TO GO SAVE SOMEONE, OR PREACH SOMEWHERE OR PROVIDE FOR SOMEONE. HE IS ALWAYS THERE RELAXED. NOT PANICKING OR DISTRESSED BUT RELAXED AND ENJOYING YOU WHAT EVER CONDITION YOU COME. IM GLAD TO ME GOD IS A FATHER. NOT JUST THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, BECAUSE MOST OF THE TIME, AND ALL THE TIME I NEED A FATHER. I PRAISE HIM FOR THAT AMAZING WORK BUT IN LIFE IVE ALWAYS ENJOYED HIM AS A FATHER. KNOWING HIM AS A FATHER GIVES ME PEACE. ASSURES ME ALL IS WELL. ITS ALL TAKEN CARE OFF. I NEED TO COME AND FELLOWSHIP, TALK ABOUT IT,THANK HIM FOR THE SOLUTION, AND THEN ENJOY THE LOVE OF A FATHER. SO PURE AND TRUE. I LOVE AND APPRECIATE HIM. HE IS SO GOOD. GLORY TO GOD.

·        HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT WHY JESUS DIDNT SAY GO TO YOUR ROOM AND TALK TO GOD? HE SAID GO AND TALK TO YOUR FATHER. WHY. MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE IN A GOD, BUT SOME GODS ARE NOT ALIVE TO BE RELATIONAL. SOME PEOPLE DON’T BELIEVE THERE IS A GOD, OR GOD. BUT EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS THE CONCEPT OF A FATHER, THE DUTIES OF A FATHER, AND THE CHARACTER OF A FATHER. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT A FATHER EXISTS THAT’S WHY THEY ARE ALIVE, THEY ARE THE RESULT OF A FATHER SOMEWHERE. EVERYONE HAS OR HAD A FATHER AT ONE TIME IN THEIR LIFE. YOU MAY HAVE NEVER SEEN YOUR FATHER, BUT YOU ARE A RESULT OF SOMEONE PERFORMING FATHERLY DUTIES SOMEWHERE. IF THAT MAN DESERTED YOU OR DIED OR WHATEVER YOU MUST KNOW THAT THE FATHER IN HEAVEN NEVER LEFT HIS THRONE, SO YOU HAVE ALWAYS HAD A FATHER. THAT ‘S WHY YOU ARE ALIVE TODAY. IN WHATEVER WAY, YOU HAD FOOD AND CLOTHING, AND LIFE. WHEN YOUR EARTHLY FATHER LEFT HIS DUTIES GOD YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN TOOK OVER. THAT IS THE REASON WHY YOU ARE READING THIS TODAY. HE WANTS YOU TO KNOW HE WAS THERE, NO MATTER WHAT YOU WENT THROUGH IN LIFE, HE PROVIDED, ACCORDING TO THE DEGREE HE WAS ALLOWED TO PROVEDE BY THOSE WHO WERE LOOKING AFTER YOU. (ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT WHAT THAT MEANS).

·        IN MATTHEW 6:5-6 JESUS TELLS US WE HAVE A FATHER WHO LISTENS TO OUR PRAYER, WHO EXPECTS US TO COME TO HIM PRIVATELY, SO THAT WE CAN BE FREE, WITH HIM, AND BE OURSELVES. WE DON’T NEED TO IMPRESS, OR PRETEND WITH HIM, WE JUST NEED TO BE FREE. JESUS WAS TEACHING US FREEDOM IN PRAYER. WHEN YOU GRASP THIS YOU WILL LOVE PRIVATE PRAYER TIME. YOU WILL REALISE ITS ATIME OF RELIEF FROM ALL THE PRETENCE THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON WHOLE DAY. SMILING, WHEN YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE, NODDING EVEN WHEN YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND OR AGREE, ITS FREEDOM TIME. PRAYER IS RELIEF TIME, ITS WISDOM TIME, ITS LEARNING TIME, ITS LOVING TIME, ITS INTIMACY TIME, ITS HEAVEN TIME. LOVE PRAYER TIME. ITS YOUR TIME. ITS ME, ME, ME, TIME. I FEEL LIKE GOING TO PRAY NOW. THAT’S MY TIME. AT TIMES YOU CAN BE SO TIRED THAT IF YOU HAVE A RIGHT UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR FATHER, YOU CAN BE SO TIRED AND EXAUSTED THATB YOU CAN COME TO HIM AND SAY DADDY, I NEED A HUG, IM TIRED I JUST COME TO REST IN YOUR PRESENCE IVE ACTUALY COME TO SLEEP IN YOUR ARMS, I NEED REFRESHING AND A PEACEFUL PLACE TO SLEEP. IN YOUR ARMS. AS LONG AS YOU DON’T ABUSE THAT POSITION BY COMING TO USE FELLOWSHIP TIME AS SLEEP TIME ALWAYS. REMEMBER WE SAID ITS FELLOWSHIP TIME, A TWO WAY COMMUNICATION, A TIME OF YOU TELLING DADDY ABOUT YOUR DAY, AND HIM LISTENING AND ADVISING WHERE ITS NEEDED.

NOW READ THIS MATT6:5-8. 5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.[b] 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you

·        WE HAVE TO KNOW WHERE WE FIND OUR FATHER, WHEN WE COME IN PRAYER. ALTHOUGH HE IS STILL ON THE THRONE, SPIRITUALY WE ARE USHERED INTO A PLACE WHERE WE CAN ENJOY THE PRIVILEDGES OF A FATHER AND SON/DAUGHTER RELATIONSHIP. JESUS SAYS GO TO YOU ROOM, (SECRET PLACE, PRIVACY) AND TALK TO YOUR FATHER WHO IS WHERE? MATT 6:66 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.[a]

WOW! DO YOU SEE THAT WHEN YOU GO PRIVATE FOR HIM, HE ALSO GOES PRIVATE FOR YOU. WHEN YOU GO TO YOUR SECRET PLACE TO MEET HIM HE GOES TO THE SECRET PLACE TO MEET YOU. JESUS DID NOT SAY YOUR FATHER WHO IS ALWAYS ON THE THRONE, HE SAID YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN THE SECRET PLACE. INSTEAD OF MY GOD WHO IS ON THE THRONE, ITS MY FATHER WHO IS IN THE SECRET PLACE.

NB WE ARE MOVING TOWARDS A RELATION SHIP WHERE DAVID SAYS WE CAN FEAR NO EVIL, WHY THE SECRET PLACE? READ THIS.

MATT 6:9-13.

 9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 AND DO NOT LEAD US INTO TEMPTATION,
BUT DELIVER US FROM THE EVIL ONE.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.[a]

·        SO HERE JESUS SAYS ITS WHEN WE ARE IN THE SECRET PLACE THAT’S WHERE WE CAN SAY …13 AND DO NOT LEAD US INTO TEMPTATION,
BUT DELIVER US FROM THE EVIL ONE.

WOW! IT’S THE SECRET PLACE. THOSE ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE SECRET PLACE. BUT SINCE THIS IS AT THE END OF THE MODEL PRAYER,  WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW SO THAT I CAN GET TO A POSITION OF ASKING FOR THIS LETS LOOK AT THE WHOLE PRAYER AND LEARN THE STEPS.

·        VERSE 9. JESUS SHOWED US THAT HE WAS TEACHING PROFOUND PRINCIPLES OF PRAYER.

·        HE SAID IN THIS MANNER THEREFORE PRAY( THESE STEPS WILL LEAD TO A STATE OF NO FEAR FOR EVIL)

·        OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN, NOW FROM THAT WE KNOW WE ARE COMING TO GOD, WHO AT THAT POINT WOULD HAVE ASSUMED THE IDENTITY OF A FATHER, AND IS NOW MEETING US AT THE SECRET PLACE. WE ARE NOW SHOWING THAT WE UNDERSTAND THAT, HE IS OUR FATHER. THAT TITLE SHOWS HIM WE HAVE COME FOR THE PRIVILEDGES OF SONSHIP, OR DAUGHTERSHIP. WE KNOW WHO WE ARE, AND WE KNOW WHO HE IS. WE ALSO KNOW WHERE HIS HOME IS, HEAVEN. HE IS IN HEAVEN IN A ROOM CALLED SECRET PLACE, WHICH IS OUR MEETING PLACE WHEN I COME FOR PRIVILEDGES. WHEN I COME TO WORSHIP HIM AS CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, I GO TO THE THRONE, AND JOIN WITH ALL THE ANGELS AND JOIN IN UNITED PRAISE. I DANCE BEFORE HIM IN PUBLIC, I SHOUT HIS PRAISE IN PUBLIC, AND I BLESS HIS HOLY NAME. DO WHATEVER I NEED TO DO. IT’S THE PROCEDURES I BELIVE OF A CREATOR, AND CREATION RELATIONSHIP. NO PRIVACY NEEDED THERE. WE ALL UNITED IN PURPOSE TO BLESS OUR CREATOR, WHO ALSO FOR SOME IS OUR FATHER, BUT FOR SOME HE IS GOD, WHO CREATED US THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING. BUT THERE ARE SOME WHO GO ON TO A FATHER, SON RELATIONSHIP THAT IS CONDUCTED IN THE SECRET PLACE, AND WHERE THERE IS INTIMACY BETWEEN FATHER AND SON ALTHOUGH I STILL ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AS CREATOR BUT NOW IVE COME TO MY DADDY FOR MY MEE TIME WITH HIM. GLORY TO GOD.

·        HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME. THAT IS WORSHIP. ALSO IN THE SECRET PLACE I BEGIN BY ACKNOWLEGING OUR RELATIONSHIP AND THEN I WORSHIP. I HAVENT COME TO ASK ONLY IVE COME TO WORSHIP. IVE COME TO BLESS HIM. HE LOVES WORSHIP SO IVE COME TO BLESS HIM WITH WHAT HE LOVES BEST. I KNOW HIM AND UNDERSTAND HIM SO I DON’T DO SHORTCUTS I FOLLOW THE RIGHT PROCEDURES. HALLOWED IN GREEK MEANS TO MAKE HOLY SANCTIFY. SO I DECLARE TO GOD THAT I KNOW HE IS HOLY, PURE, SEPARATED. IN OTHER WORDS I DECLARE HE IS NOT COMMON. I STATE THE SAME WORDS THAT THE SERAPHIM STATE BEFORE HIS THRONE, HOLY, HOLY, AND HOLY.LOOK AT MEANING OF HALLOWED.

·        LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE SERAPHIM WORSHIP PUBLICLY…AT THE THRONE.

Isaiah 6:1-3

New King James Version (NKJV)

Isaiah Called to Be a Prophet

6 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!”

REVELATION 4:8 8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:

Holy, holy, holy,[a]
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!”

NOW I CARRY ON THE WORSHIP PRIVATELY IN THE SECRET PLACE WHAT IS GOING ON THE PUBLIC THRONE ROOM. SO GOD, MY FATHER DOES NOT MISS THE WORSHIP THAT GOES ON AT THE THRONEROOM. BUT MINE IS MORE INTIMATE BECAUSE IT’S A VOICE OF HIS BABBY IN A SECRET PLACE ALL BY HERSELF SAYING YOU ARE HOLY DADDY, HALLOWED BE THY NAME. SAYING , YOU ARE PURE, SEPARATED, SET APART. CRYING OUT ALL THE MEANINGS OF HALLOWED BE THY NAME.

I ALSO SHOW HIM I KNOW HE HAS A NAME ABOVE BEING DADDY, HE HAS A NAME CALLED, ALMIGHTY, PEACE, HEALER, PROVEDER, PROTECTOR, SANCTIFIER, WARRIOR… I COME SHOWING HIM I KNOW EXACTLY WHO HE IS, HE IS MORE THAN MY DADDY, AND HE IS GOD. YOU SEE I NEED TO SHOW HIM I KNOW THIS BECAUSE THESE NAMES ENABLE ME TO CLAIM MY PREVILDGES. AND ALSO TO RECEIVE THEM FOR I KNOW MY PLACE, I KNOW HIM BOTH AS GOD,  AND AS FATHER. GLORY TO GOD.

·        YOUR KINGDOM COME. AGAIN I HAVE TO SHOW MY FATHER IM INTRESTED IN WHAT HE IS INTRESTED IN. AND I KNOW WHAT IT IS. GOD, MY FATHER IS A KING LIKE ANY OTHER.HE IS INTRESTED IN EXPANDING AND ADVANCING HIS KINGDOM. HIS DESIRE IS THAT WE, AS HIS HIS CHILDREN BRING DOWN HIS KINGDOM  OF HEAVEN TO EARTH. WHAT IS A KINGDOM?. IT’S A SPHERE OF INFLUENCE WHERE A KING REIGNS. GOD WANTS HIS REIGN AND INFLUENCE TO DOMINATE AND PERMIATE PLANET. JESUS CAME TO TEACH US ABOUT THE FATHER AND KINGDOM. HE DEMONSTRATED WHAT LIFE IN THE KINGDOM IS LIKE. HE STATED EXACTLY HIS MANDATE IN LUKE 4:14-18.

Luke 4:14-18

14 Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. 15 And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.

16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,[
a]
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

JESUS SAID HIS MANDATE WAS TO

·        PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR,

·        HEAL THE BROKEN HEARTED

·        PROCLAIM LIBERTY TO THE CAPTIVES

·        GIVE SIGHT TO THE BLIND

·        SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED.

·        NOW THIS HE DID BOTH PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY.

·        HE ALSO CAME TO REVEAL THE FATHER, THAT HE DID BY TEACHING. SO WE CAN SEE THAT IS WHY JESUS SAID REPENT, FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND. NOW AFTER THAT HE TAUGHT AND PREACHED  AND DEMONSTRATED THE KINGDOM LIFE AS EXPLAINED ABOVE AND RECORDED IN MATTHEW 4:17-25.

·        NOW AFTER TEACHING AND DEMONSTRATING HE PRAYS THAT GOD’S KINGDOM SHOULD COME.

·         THEREFORE I, AS A CHILD WHEN I COME TO GOD I SHOULD SHOW THAT IM AWARE OF WHAT HIS DESIRES ARE, BY GETTING BEHIND JESUS EXAMPLE AND CALLING FOR THE KINGDOM. I MAY DO IT IN ANOTHER WAY BUT I MUST SHOW IM ALSO INTRESTED IN WHAT IS GOD’S PRIMARY INTREST.  THAT KNOWLEDGE SHOWS IM A CHILD, I KNOW WHATS GOING ON AT HOME IN GOD,S HOUSEHOLD. IM NOT A STRANGER IN GOD’S HOUSE. I BEGIN BY THANKING HIM FOR WHAT HE IS DOING RIGHT NOW IN THE WORLD. APPRECIATE HIM ON SALVATION OF SOULS, SPREADING OF THE GOSPEL, REVELATIONS GOING ON AND THE CURRENT MOVE OF GOD. ITS AWESOME, HE IS DOING SO MUCH. THANK HIM FOR THE HOLY GHOST, AND THANK HIM FOR JESUS, TALK TO HIM. BLESS HIM. BE GRATEFUL FOR AID TO POOR COUNTRIES AND VICTIMS OF NATURAL DISASTERS. HEY THERE IS SO MUCH GOING ON THAT BY THE TIME YOU FINISH YOU WILL BE IN THE SPIRIT OF WORSHIP. BLESS HIM.

YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

AGAIN SHOW YOU DESIRE HIS WILL AND YOU KNOW IT.

SALVATION OF SOULS, AND ALL THAT IS RECORDED IN LUKE 4:14-18.

ALSO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ALSO DESIRE THE SAME GOVERNMENT SYSTEM THAT RUNS IN HEAVEN TO BE RUNNING ON EARTH. A PLACE WHERE GOD RULES, WHERE THERE IS NO SIN, SICKNESS OR OPRESSION. WHERE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUSTICE ARE THE SCEPTER OF THE KINGDOM. SHOW GOD YOU KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT OF HEAVEN, WHERE HE IS. AND YOU DESIRE THAT.

Psalm 45:6-7

New King James Version (NKJV)

6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

PSALM89:14.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.

QOUTE SCRIPTURE BACK TO GOD. SHOW HIM YOUR ARE INTRESTED AND YOU KNOW HIS WORD. SHOW YOU HAVE A WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. HE IS A FATHER, HE WILL BE IMPRESSED, YOU HAVE NO IDEAR HOW MANY OF HIS CHILDREN DON’T GIVE HIM THAT TIME, SOME WHO DO COME TO DEMAND THINGS AND SAY NOTHING ABOUT HIS KINGDOM. NO NOTHING OF HIS PRAISE. YET THE PSALMSIST TELLS US HOW WE SHOULD COME TO HIM…PSALM 100:4

Psalm 100:4

New King James Version (NKJV)

4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name

5 For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

15 THIS EXACTLY WHAT JESUS WAS DOING IN THE LORD’ P[RAYER.

NOW YOU CAN BEGIN YOUR REQUESTS, YOU HAVE EARNED THIS RIGHT BY SHOWING THAT YOU UNDERSTAND ITS JESUS, THE BLOOD, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT HAVE ENABLED YOU TO REACH THIS POSITION OF BEING A CHILD WHO HAS ACCESS TO THE FATHER IN THE SECRET PLACE. THAT’S WHY I ENCOURAGED YOU TO THANK GOD, AND PRAISE HIM FOR SALVATION, JESUS, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. THAT’S WHAT QUALIFIES US FOR SONSHIP AND PRIVILEDGES THAT FOLLOW. YOUR DISPLAY OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOD’S MOVE, MERCY, AND GOVERNMENT SHOWS YOU ARE AN ACTIVE CHILD IN THE KINGDOM. YOU ARE NOT JUST AFTER BENEFITS, YOU ARE INVOLVED.

·        GIVE US THIS DAY, OUR DAILY BREAD. ONLY A CHILD WOULD ASK FOR BREAD FROM HIS FATHER. BY ASKING FOR DAILY BREAD, YOU ARE SHOWING YOUR FATHER, YOU KNOW HE IS YOUR FATHER,

·        YOU ARE SHOWING THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ALL OF YOUR SUSTAINANCE COMES FROM HIM. WHETHER ITS PHYSICAL BREAD(FOOD) OR ITS SPIRITUAL BREAD (THE WORD).  BOTH ARE REFERED TO AS BREAD IN SCRIPTURE.

·        REMEMBER YOU ARE ACKNOWLEDGING THAT ITS HIM PROVIDING DAILY.

·        WHEN YOU REALISE THAT GOD PREPARES FOOD FOR YOU DAILY YOUR PERCEPTION OF HIM CHANGES. YOU NO LONGER TAKE HIM FOR GRANTED. YOU REALISE THE IMPORTANCE OF WORSHIP, PRAISE AND THANKS GIVING. TO ME BOTH SPIRITUAL BREAD AND PHYSICAL BREAD ARE SO IMPORTANT. REMEMBER JESUS ON THE DAY OF TEMPTATION? JESUS TOLD US THAT WE NEED THE WORD EQUALLY IMPORTANT AS FOOD.

Matthew 4:2-4

New King James Version (NKJV)

2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”[a]

Deuteronomy 8:3

New King James Version (NKJV)

3 So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.

GOD IS THE ONE WHO FEEDS US BOTH PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUAL. BOTH ARE EQUALLY IMPORTANT AND HE IS THE SOURCE OF BOTH MY PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS. WOW GLORY TO GOD.

AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS… ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR IMPERFECTIONS. ITS BY GRACE AND MERCY THAT HE HAS GIVEN ACCESS EVEN THOUGH NO HUMAN QUALIFIES. THAT’S WHY JESUS SAID APROACH HIM AS YOUR FATHER. A FATHER WILL ACCEPT YOU AS YOU ARE, AS LONG AS YOU SHOW THAT YOU ARE INTRESTED IN A RELATIONSHIP.

YOU ARE NOT COMING IN YOUR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS BUT IT’S THE WORK OF JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. NO ONE IS 100% HOLY. SO YOU OWE SOME CERTAIN DEBTS TO THE FATHER. WE ARE ALWAYS IN DEBT WHEN IT COMES TO OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FATHER. WE ARE IN DEBT IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN OUR COMMUNITIES. SO YOU WILL ALWAYS BE OWING GOD AN APOLOGY. SOME OF THEM YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW, YOU HURT PEOPLE AND YOU ARE NOT EVEN AWARE. SO IMAGIN IF YOU CAME THINKING YOU ARE HOLY, YET SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE IS TELLING THE FATHER YOU HURT THEM?. JESUS MAY BE COMFORTING SOMEONE SOMEWHERE WHO IS DISTRAUGHT BECAUSE OF YOUR CONDUCT. SO YOU OWE GOD AN APOLOGY.

AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS. STOP READ AGAIN, JESUS SAYS YOU CAN ASK FOR FORGIVENESS FROM THE FATHER IF YOU ARE ALSO A FORGIVER. NOW WHAT IF YOU FIND IT HARD TO FORGIVE OR YOU DON’T WANT TO DO IT. THEN YOU CLOSE THE DOOR FOR YOUR OWN FORGIVENESS. OR YOU COME TO THE SECRET PLACE TO LIE TO THE FATHER. IF YOU ARE GOING TO ASK THE FATHER TO KEEP YOU FROM THE EVIL ONE, YOUR PRECONDITIONAL REQUIREMENT IS THAT YOU FORGIVE AS YOU ARE FORGIVEN.

·        NOW THE NEXT STATEMENT IS TIED TO FORGIVENESS. WHEN YOU REFUSE TO FORGIVE YOU ARE SAYING TO THE FATHER, IM 100% HOLY, I WILL NEVER NEED THAT SERVICE OF FORGIVENESS. SO YOU CAN TEMPT ME AND SEE. I AM OK, WILL PASS ALL TESTS. LISTEN TO WHAT A FORGIVER SAYS TO THE FATHER…AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS AND DO NOT LEAD US INTO TEMPTATION. V13. WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS DADDY IM ALREADY IN DEBT, BUT FORGIVE ME, AS IM ALSO FORGIVING OTHERS AND DON’T LEAD ME INTO TEMPTATION IM ALREADY OWING YOU AND MY FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS. IVE ALREADY FAILED SOME TESTS HERE, IVE COME TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS, SO PLEASE DON’T LEAD ME INTO ANY MORE. DOES GOD TEMPT ANYONE?I THINK HE LEADS YOU THERE, THAT’S WHAT THE SCRIPTURE SAYS…LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION. ALSO LOOK AT MATTHEW 4:1

Matthew 4:1

New King James Version (NKJV)

Satan Tempts Jesus

4 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

IF YOU REFUSE TO FORGIVE OTHERS YOU OPEN THE DOOR TO BE TEMPTED, GOD WILL LEAD YOU THERE.  THAT IS NOT TO MEAN THAT JESUS HAD OPENED THE DOOR OR SINNED, NO I JUST WANT YOU TO REALISE THAT JESUS  SAID ASK THAT YOU ARE NOT LED TO TEMPTATION, HE KNEW VERY WELL BECAUSE THE HOLY SPIRIT HAD LED HIM TO THERE. I BELIEVE FOR HIM IT WAS NECESSARY BUT NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE, THEREFORE HE SAYS ASK THAT YOU DON’T GO THAT WAY. James 1:13-16

New King James Version (NKJV)

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.

 1 Corinthians 10:13

New King James Version (NKJV)

·        13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

·        NOW I BELIEVE BY ASKING FOR FORGIVES, AS WE FORGIVE OTHERS, WE CAN ASK THE THE LORD NOT TO LEAD US TO TEMPTATION. AMEN

1.     NOW THIS WHOLE EXAMINATION OF THE LORD’S PRAYER WAS LEADING US TO THIS NEXT LINE..BUT DELIVER US FROM THE EVIL ONE, OR DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

2.     FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, THE POWER AND THE GLORY FOREVER AMEN.

THIS IS WHAT DAVID WAS TALKING ABOUT.  DAVID SAID I WILL FEAR NO EVIL, AND JESUS IN MATTHEW 5-6 SHOWS US HOW DO WE GET TO THE POINT WHERE WE CAN ASK THE FATHER TO DELIVER US FROM EVIL AND THE EVIL ONE.. ALL THE PAGES ABOVE ARE AN EXPLANATION THAT LEADS US TO THAT POSITION IN GOD, WHERE WE CAN ASK FOR PROTECTION FROM THE EVIL ONE. WHAT ARE THE SUMMARY OF THE STEPS?

1.      REPENTANCE FROM A RELIGIOUS WAY OF THINKING TO A KINGDOM MENTALITY, THAT ALIGNS WITH THE WILL OF THE FATHER.

2.      EXIBITING BEHAVIOUR AND RIGHTEOUNESS THAT EXCEEDS THAT OF THE PHARISEES, ( WE LOOKED AT THAT IN DETAIL WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE PHARISEES, THAT LED JESUS TO CONDEMN THEM.)

3.      HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FATHER.

4.      EXHIBIT THE CHARACTERISTICS OF A SON, WHO HAS A WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FATHER.

5.      SHOW YOUR INTREST IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND DISPLAY A KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL AND HIS WHAT HE IS DOING ON EARTH.

6.      PRAISE, WORSHIP, AND DISPLAY A THANKSGIVING ATTITUDE. GENUINELY.

7.      SHOW GRATITUDE FOR HIS SUSTENANCE BOTH PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY.

8.      ASK AND OFFER FORGIVENESS. SHOW THAT YOU ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR DEBTS AND ARE NOT TAKING GOD FOR GRANTED.

9.       THEN YOU CAN ASK FOR PROTECTION FROM THE EVIL ONE AND FROM EVIL. WE DISCUSSED ABOVE WHAT EVIL IS SO YOU NEED TO GET TO THAT PLACE WHERE GOD DELIVERS YOU FROM EVIL. FOR YOU KNOW THAT THE KINGDON THE POWER AND THE GLOEY ARE HIS. AMEN.

NOW, WHERE IN THE WORD ARE WE PROMISSED THAT NO EVIL SHALL BEFALL US ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES. WHAT DO WE CALL THAT PLACE?WHAT OTHER BENEFITS ARE THERE, WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO. JESUS HAS GIVEN HIS GUIDELINE OF LIVING A LIFE THAT LEADS US TO THAT PLACE WHERE WE CAN BE INTIMATE WITH THE FATHER SO THAT WE CAN ASK US TO DELIVER US FROM EVIL. WE LOOK TO THE OLD TESTAMENT. PSALM 91 IS OUR SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE. PSALM 91 TALKS ABOUT THE SECRET PLACE AND SAYS NO EVIL SHALL BEFALL YOU. NOW LETS STUDY PSALM 91. MY AIM IS TO TEACH YOU THE RELA WORD SO THAT YOU ARE NOT DECEIVED. YOU CAN QOUTE SCRIPTURE AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE BUT SOME BENEFITS OF SCRIPTURE HAVE PREREQUISITES. YOU NEED TO BE AT A CERTAIN LEVEL AND LIVE A CERTAIN LIFESTYLE IN ORDER TO ENJOY THEM. THE THREE SCRIPTURES DISCUSSED HERE SHOW THAT. PSALM 23, PSALM 91 AND THE LORD’S PRAYER CLEARLY SHOW THAT. JUST PICKING A VERSE IN ISOLATION WILL WORK FOR YOU WHEN YOU ARE A BABY CHRISTIAN. GOD IS INTRESTED IN YOUR GROWTH. HE IS A FATHER. NO FATHER WOULD LIKE TO SPOON FEED A TEENAGER OR AN UDULT. AT A CERTAIN STAGE IN YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE SOME RESPONSIBILITIES. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO COMMUNE WITH THE FATHER SATISFACTORILY. YOU SHOULD SHOW YOU UNDERSTAND THE WAYS OF THE KINGDOM. YOU SHOULD DEMONSTRATE KNOWLEDGE OF SOME PROCEEDURES. YOU SHOULD AT LEAST EXHIBIT A LIFESTYLE RESEMBLING THE CHARACTER OF CHRIST, AND KINGDOM RESPONSIBILITIES.BY THEN YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT GRIEVES THE FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT. AFTER 10 YRS OF BEING BORN AGAIN YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TIDY YOUR HOUSE, SEARCH YOURSELF, JUDGE YOURSELF ACCORDING TO THE WORD. HELP YOUNG CHRISTIANS, BE ABLE TO EITHER LEAD THEM HOME OR HELP THEM TO GROW.THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR CONTINUOSLY MESSING YOURSELF UP IF YOU ARE 10 YRS OLD. THE PRINCIPLES OF NATURAL LIFE ARE THE SAME AS THOSE OF SPIRITUAL LIFE. BY THEN YOU SHOULD KNOW THERE ARE WAYS OF DOING DIFFERENT THINGS. EG, DIFFERENT TYPES OF PRAYER, WHICH ONE IS APPROPRIATE FOR WHICH OCCASION. THAT IS WHY ABOVE WE SAID FOR PERSONAL GROWTH AND PERSONAL THINGS YOU NO LONGER RELY ON CORPORATE PRAYER. BY THEN YOU KNOW THAT FOR SOME THINGS YOU NEED TO GO TO THE SECRET PLACE. YOU NO LONGER RELY ON CHURCH BIBLE STUDY YOU READ THE WORD AT HOME ON YOUR OWN. SOME THINGS YOU TAKE THEM TO GOD IN PRAYER NOT TO WAIT FOR THE PASTOR TO PRAY FOR YOU. YOU GO TO THE PASTOR FOR HELP WITH CERTAIN THINGS NOT TO INTERELY DEPEND ON PASTOR TO CARRY YOU. SAD NEWS IS THAT A SURVEY DONE OF PASTOR,S PRAYER TIME SHOWED 80% SAID THEY SPEND AN AVERAGE OF 5-10 MINUTES PRAYING FOR THE CHURCH. NOW IF YOUR CHURCH HAS 50 MEMBERS, HOW MUCH TIME DOES THE PASTOR SPEND PRAYING FOR YOU. DOES HE EVEN KNOW YOUR NAME? DOES HE KNOW WHATS REALY GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE. MOST CHRISTIANS LIVE THEIR LIVES PRETENDING THEY ARE OK, YET INSIDE THEY ARE BREAKING. THE TRAGEDY IS THAT NON CHRISTIANS TALK TO THEIR FRIENDS OR SEEK HELP,BUT FEW CHRISTIANS DO THAT. THEY COME TO CHURCH PRETENDING ITS OK, UNTILL THEY BREAKDOWN, WHY?GOD IS A FATHER, GO TO THE SECRET PLACE, GO TO YOUR FATHER. YOUR FATHER UNDERSTANDS MORE THAN YOU DO. WHEN YOU GO THERE HE WILL DIRECT YOU CORRECTLY AND DISCREETLY. ABOVE ALL PRIVATELY. YOU WONT HEAR YOUR ISSUE DISCUSSED ELSEWHERE. IM SADENED BY THE WAY CHRISTIANS LEAVE THEY ONLY SOURCE OF HELP AND SOMETIMES DIE, OR LOSE THEIR MARRIAGES, FAMILIES, BUSINESSES, JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT WILLING TO GO TO GOD DIRECTLY. THEY WERE TOO EMBARASSED TO GO TO THEIR PASTORS, FRIENDS, FAMILIES, SO THEY HIDE THE PROBLEM TILL IT GROWS ROOTS AND ENDS UP DESTROYING THEM. LOOK AT WHAT JONAH SAID…IT’S THE WHOLE CHAPTER OF JONAH 2.. THE SRIPTURE IS RECORDED BELOW. NOW JONAH WAS IN TROUBLE WITH GOD, AT HIS SPIRITUAL AGE HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. BUT WHAT IS REMARKABLE WITH HIM IS HE SAYS WHEN HIS LIFE WAS SLIPING AWAY HE REMEMBERED GOD. HE CRIED OUT TO HIM IN HIS HOLY TEMPLE AND HE HEAD HIM. GOD HEAD JONAH EVEN THOUGH HE HAD DISOBEYED GOD. V7, V8 THOSE WHO CLING TO WORTHLESS IDOLS FORSAKE THEIR OWN MERCY. WHAT AN IMPORTANT STATEMENT. THOSE WHO WILL CONTINUE TO CLING TO WORTHLESS IDOLS , EVEN WHEN THEY NEED HELP, JONAH SAYS THEY FORSAKE THEIR OWN MERCY, HELP, DELIVERANCE OR SALVATION. WHAT ARE THOSE IDOLS? PRIDE, FEAR, SHAME, FALSE LIFESTYLE, LIES, THERE ARE SO MANY. MANY PEOPLE DON’T GO FOR HELP BECAUSE OF ONE OF THESE THINGS MENTIONED HERE. V9 JONAH SAYS SALVATION IS OF THE LORD. NO BODY CAN SAVE YOU. ITS ONLY THE LORD. YOU GO TO THE SECRET PLACE. THAT’S WHY IT’S A SECRET PLACE, SO THAT THERE IS PRIVACY FOR YOU. GOD ALREADY KNOWS WHATS HAPPENING SO YOU DON’T NEED TO PRETEND. GO THERE AS A CHLID AND TELL IT TO GOD LIKE IT IS. POUR OUT YOUR HEART. SAY IT. DADDY LISTENS WITH THE INTENSION TO HELP YOU NOT TO JUDGE YOU. WHY SHOULD YOU GO ANOTHER SOURCE WHEN THE BIBLE CLEARLY SAYS YOU GO TO GOD IN THE NAME OF JESUS. READ THIS…Acts 4:11-13

New Living Translation (NLT)

11 For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,

‘The stone that you builders rejected
has now become the cornerstone.’[
a]

12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

13 The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus. NB GOD IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE YOU. SALVATION MEANS AA LOT OF THINGS, IT JUST DOESN’T MEAN BEING BORN AGAIN. NOW FOR ME THE HOLY SPIRIT GAVE ME THIS SCRIPTURE WHEN I WAS A YOUNG CHRISTIAN. HE SHOWED ME THAT I DON’T NEED TO DIE LIKE A FOOL. WHAT IS A FOOL? Psalm 14

New King James Version (NKJV)

Folly of the Godless, and God’s Final Triumph

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

14 THE FOOL HAS SAID IN HIS HEART,
THERE IS NO GOD.”
THEY ARE CORRUPT,

They have done abominable works,
There is none who does good.

2 The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
3 They have all turned aside,
They have together become corrupt;
There is none who does good,
No, not one.

AN AMZING DEFINITION OF A FOOL. ONE WHO SAYS IN HIS HEART THERE IS NO GOD, AND THEREFORE DOES NOT SEEK HIM. BUT V2 SAYS THE LORD LOOKS DOWN FROM HEAVEN, TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY UNDERSTANDING PERSON WHO WOULD SEEK HIM. READ THIS AND ASK YOUR SELF AM I A FOOL? WHAT ELSE DOES A FOOL DO? LOOK AT THIS? THE FOLOWING STORY DETAILS THE DEATH OF ABNER ONE OF DAVID’S FRIENDS. AS YOU READ YOU WILL PICK CERTAIN THINGS THAT WILL MAKE YOU REALISE WHY DAVID SAYS ABNER DUED LIKE A FOOL. LETS READ.

 2 Samuel 3:19-34

New King James Version (NKJV)

19 And Abner also spoke in the hearing of Benjamin. Then Abner also went to speak in the hearing of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel and the whole house of Benjamin.

20 So Abner and twenty men with him came to David at Hebron. And David made a feast for Abner and the men who were with him. 21 Then Abner said to David, “I will arise and go, and gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a covenant with you, and that you may reign over all that your heart desires.” So David sent Abner away, and he went in peace.

Joab Murders Abner

22 At that moment the servants of David and Joab came from a raid and brought much spoil with them. But Abner was not with David in Hebron, for he had sent him away, and he had gone in peace. 23 When Joab and all the troops that were with him had come, they told Joab, saying, “Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he sent him away, and he has gone in peace.” 24 Then Joab came to the king and said, “What have you done? Look, Abner came to you; why is it that you sent him away, and he has already gone? 25 Surely you realize that Abner the son of Ner came to deceive you, to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you are doing.”

26 And when Joab had gone from David’s presence, he sent messengers after Abner, who brought him back from the well of Sirah. But David did not know it. 27 Now when Abner had returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him privately, and there stabbed him in the stomach, so that he died for the blood of Asahel his brother. 28 Afterward, when David heard it, he said, “My kingdom and I are guiltless before the Lord forever of the blood of Abner the son of Ner. 29 Let it rest on the head of Joab and on all his father’s house; and let there never fail to be in the house of Joab one who has a discharge or is a leper, who leans on a staff or falls by the sword, or who lacks bread.” 30 So Joab and Abishai his brother killed Abner, because he had killed their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.

David’s Mourning for Abner

31 Then David said to Joab and to all the people who were with him, “Tear your clothes, gird yourselves with sackcloth, and mourn for Abner.” And King David followed the coffin. 32 So they buried Abner in Hebron; and the king lifted up his voice and wept at the grave of Abner, and all the people wept. 33 And the king sang a lament over Abner and said:

Should Abner die as a fool dies?
34 Your hands were not bound
Nor your feet put into fetters;
As a man falls before wicked men, so you fell.”

Then all the people wept over him again.

NOW ABNER LIVED AT A TIME IN ISRAEL WHEN SO MANY MEN IN ISRAEL WERE SEEKING THE FAVOUR OF DAVID. CERTAIN MANY WERE AFTER POSITIONS SO IT WAS A RERRIBLE TIME OF WICKED PLOTS. LIFE WAS UNCERTAIN. ABNER WAS ALSO AWARE HE HAD ENEMIES BUT HE PRETENDED THEY WERE NOT THERE. FALSE TRUST AND FALSE HOPE. IDOLS OF PRIDE. VS 19-20 SAYS ABNER SPOKE TO BENJAMIN, THEN TO DAVID AND THEN MADE PROMISES, SO THAT DAVID MADE A FEAST FOR HIM. REMEMBER IN ALL THIS HE KNEW THAT HE HAD COMMITED A MURDER AND JOAB WAS AFTER HIS LIFE.(2 SAMUEL 2: 12-30). BUT HE PRETENDING THERE WAS NO DANGER, PUT ON A FALSE MASK OF SECURITY AND CHAMPIONSHIP. DAVID SENT HIM IN PEACE THINKING ALL WAS WELL. BUT WHEN JOAB CAME TO DAVID HEAD THAT ABNER HAD BEEN FEASTING WITH DAVID, HE WAS ANGRY AND STARTED PLOTING. SENT FOR ABNER, WHO FOOLISHLY BELIEVED THAT ALL WAS WELL. HE TOOK HIM ASIDE AND KILLED HIM .DAVID DIDN’T EVEN KNOW. HIS REACTION IN VS28-30 SHOW THAT. NOW WHAT COULD HAVE ABNER DONE?

·        HE COULD HAVE TOLD DAVID HE WAS IN DANGER, DAVID AS KING WOULD HAVE ENSURED HIS SAFETY. HE ONLY NEEDED TO CONFESS ALL WAS NOT AS WELL AS HE PRETENDED.

·        HE COULD HAVE NOT TURNED BACK WHEN JOAB CALLED HIM BACK, HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT JOAB WAS STILL PURSUING HIM FOR KILLING ASAHEL, JOAB’S BROTHER.

·        MOST OF ALL HE COULD HAVE GONE TO A PLACE OF REFUGE. NUMBERS 35: 9-12.

Numbers 35:9-12

New King James Version (NKJV)

Cities of Refuge

9 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 10 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 11 then you shall appoint cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the manslayer who kills any person accidentally may flee there. 12 They shall be cities of refuge for you from the avenger, that the manslayer may not die until he stands before the congregation in judgment.

THERE IS SOMETHING THAT ABNER COULD HAVE DONE, HE COULD HAVE GONE TO THE PLACE WHERE THE ALTER WAS. JOAB LATTER DID THE SAME WHEN HE WAS RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE. 1 KINGS 2:28. Kings 2:28

New King James Version (NKJV)

28 Then news came to Joab, for Joab had defected to Adonijah, though he had not defected to Absalom. So Joab fled to the tabernacle of the Lord, and took hold of the horns of the altar.

THERE WAS HOPE FOR ABNER OTHER WISE DAVID WOULD NOT HAVE SAID ABNER DIED LIKE A FOOL. Should Abner die as a fool dies?
34 Your hands were not bound
Nor your feet put into fetters;
As a man falls before wicked men, so you fell.”

 HIS HANDS WERE NOT TIED NOR HIS FEET. HE COULD HAVE GONE TO A PLACE OF TEFUGE. GOD HAD PROVIDED A PLACE OF REFUGE LONG BEFORE ISRAEL ENTERED THE LAND. HOW ABOUT YOU?SHOULD YOU ALSO DIE LIKE A FOOL? LIKE SOMEBODY WHO SAYS THERE IS NO GOD?. GO TO THE LORD, YOUR FEET ARE NOT IN CHAINS NOR YOUR HANDS, NOR YOUR MOUTH. RUN TO THE SECRET PLACE AND CRY FOR DELIVERANCE AND SALVATION.  BOTH DAVID AND JESUS HAVE SHOWN US THAT THE SECRET PLACE IS OUR PLACE OF REFUGE WHERE WE CAN ASK FOR DELIVERANCE FROM EVIL. YOUR FEET ARE NOT BOUND. REMEMBER JONAH SAID THOSE WHO THOSE WHO CLING TO WORTHLESS IDOLS FORSAKE THEIR OWN MERCY, SALVATION IS OF THE LORD.(JONAH 2:7-9). JONAH SAYS WHEN HIS SOUL FAINTED WITHIN HIM HE REMEMBERED GOD, AND HIS PRAYER WENT UP TO GOD. RE READ. 8 “Those who regard worthless idols
Forsake their own Mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice to You
With the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay what I have vowed.
Salvation is of the
Lord.”

JONAH DID NOT PRETEND LIKE ABNER!. HE ACKNOWLEDGED HIS POSITION OF DANGER AND CRIED OUT. ALTHOUGH HE WAS ALREADY IN THE BELLY OF THE FISH HE STILL CRIED OUT. SOME PEOPLE SAY ITS TOO LATE NOW, BUT JONAH DIDN’T TAKE THAT ROUTE.  HE DIDN’T CLING TO THAT FALSE IDOL OF DISPAIR OR FEAR OR SHAME OR SELF CONDEMNATION. HE REALISED HIS MISTAKE AND MADE UP HIS MIND GOD IS MERCIFUL, WOULD HEAR HIM, AND THEN CRIED TO GOD LOOK AT HOW GOD RESPONDED

Jonah 2:10

New King James Version (NKJV)

10 So the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

GOD DID DELIVER HIM WHEN HE CRIED OUT. GOD DID NOT ASK HIM QUESTIONS TO JUDGE HIM AND CONDEMN HIM. HE SAID LETS START AGAIN, THIS TIME LETS WORK TOGETHER. THE BOOK OF JONAH IS SO AMUSING YOU LEARN A LOT ABOUT THE NATURE OF GOD AND THE CHARACTER OF JONAH. WE HAVE A LOT OF JONAH’S TODAY AND THE GOOD NEWS IS GOD HAS NOT CHANGED EITHER. HE SAYS LETS START AGAIN LOOK AT JONAH 3:1

JONAH 3:1-3 (NKJV)

Jonah Preaches at Nineveh

3 NOW THE WORD OF THE LORD CAME TO JONAH THE SECOND TIME, SAYING, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.” 3 So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three-day journey[a] in extent.

ISNT IT AMAZING THAT WHEN WE FINALY DECIDE TO WORK WITH GOD, HE WORKS WITH US AND DOES NOT SAY, ITS TOO LATE. YOUR CALLING OR MANDATE WILL BE OPEN TO YOU TILL THE DAY YOU DIE. GOD WILL NEVER SAY ITS TOO LATE. IT WOULD BE ADVISABLE THOUGH TO PICK THIS SOONER THAN LATER. SHOW GOD YOU ARE A GOOD STUDENT BY RESPONDING CORRECTLY TO THIS TEACHING. THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS FORBIDDEN ME TO TAKE SHORT CUTS IN THIS TEACHING BECAUSE HE IS TEACHING SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE ABOUT LIFE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD. SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE NEEDS THIS. THAT IS THE REASON THERE ARE DIFFERENT PORTIONS OF SCRIPTURE ALL EXPLAINED. SOMEBODY NEEDS THE STORY OF ABNER, SOMEBODY NEEDS THE STORY OF JOB, SOMEBODY NEEDS THE STORY OF DAVID, YET SOMEBODY NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND LIFE OF PRAYER. SOMEBODY NEEDS TO LEARN PSALM 91. THERE ARE SO MANY CONCEPTS TAUGHT HERE IN SUCH A WAY THAT THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A LIFELONG STUDY LASTING AT LEAST 6 MONTHS FOR THOSE IN A HURRY. BUT YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO IT AND DEVELOP ITS CONCEPTS THROUGH YOUR PERSONAL LIFE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. NOW IS THE BOOK OF JOB TRUE? HOW DO WE KNOW ITS NOT A FAIRY TALE, WELL JESUS VALIDATED IT. IF JESUS BELIEVED ITS TRUE, THEN THAT SETTLES IT FOR ME.

The Scribes and Pharisees Ask for a Sign

38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”

39 But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

NOW PLEASE READ THE WHOLE CHAPTER 2 OF JONAH. IF YOU NEED MORE CLARITY READ THE WHOLE 3 CHAPTERS.  YOU WILL LEARN A LOT AND THAT WILL ENHANCE YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS SAYING. REMEMBER, EVERYTIME YOU SPEND, READING THE WORD OF GOD, OR DOING BIBLE STUDY IS TIME SPENT WITH GOD. THAT CHANGES YOU INSIDE AND REFRESHES YOU AND REPLENISHES YOU. THAT IS WHY THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT IN A HURRY TO FINISH THIS. HE WANTS YOU TO GET INTO THE HABBIT OF READING THE WORD AND FOLLOWING REFERENCES. THIS STUDY WILL HELP YOU WHEREEVER YOU ARE BECAUSE  A LOT OF SCRIPTURE IS DOWNLOADED HERE, SO YOU DON’T NEED TO MAKE AN EXCUSE , SAYING I DIDN’T HAVE A BIBLE WITH ME SO I DIDN’T READ. SCRIPTURES ARE INCLUDED FOR YOUR SAKE. JUST DIVE IN. NOW PLEASE READ…

Jonah 2
New King James Version (NKJV)
2 Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the fish’s belly. 2 And he said:
“I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction,
And He answered me.
“Out of the belly of Sheol I cried,
And You heard my voice.
3 For You cast me into the deep,
Into the heart of the seas,
And the floods surrounded me;
All Your billows and Your waves passed over me.
4 Then I said, ‘I have been cast out of Your sight;
Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.’
5 The waters surrounded me, even to my soul;
The deep closed around me;
Weeds were wrapped around my head.
6 I went down to the moorings of the mountains;
The earth with its bars closed behind me forever;
Yet You have brought up my life from the pit,
O Lord, my God.
7 “When my soul fainted within me,
I remembered the Lord;
And my prayer went up to You,
Into Your holy temple.
8 “Those who regard worthless idols
Forsake their own Mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice to You
With the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay what I have vowed.
Salvation is of the Lord.”
10 So the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

Jonah 2
New Living Translation (NLT)
Jonah’s Prayer
2 [a]Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from inside the fish. 2 He said,
“I cried out to the Lord in my great trouble,
and he answered me.
I called to you from the land of the dead,[b]
and Lord, you heard me!
3 You threw me into the ocean depths,
and I sank down to the heart of the sea.
The mighty waters engulfed me;
I was buried beneath your wild and stormy waves.
4 Then I said, ‘O Lord, you have driven me from your presence.
Yet I will look once more toward your holy Temple.’
5 “I sank beneath the waves,
and the waters closed over me.
Seaweed wrapped itself around my head.
6 I sank down to the very roots of the mountains.
I was imprisoned in the earth,
whose gates lock shut forever.
But you, O Lord my God,
snatched me from the jaws of death!
7 As my life was slipping away,
I remembered the Lord.
And my earnest prayer went out to you
in your holy Temple.
8 Those who worship false gods
turn their backs on all God’s mercies.
9 But I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise,
and I will fulfill all my vows.
For my salvation comes from the Lord alone.”
10 Then the Lord ordered the fish to spit Jonah out onto the beach.

WE COME TO PSALM 91!, REMEMBER WE ARE STILL EXPLORING THE LIFESTYLE THAT LEADS US TO SAY NO EVIL. WE HAVE COME TO REALISE THAT IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD, THE FATHER EXPECTS US TO GROW AND REACH CERTAIN POSITIONS WHERE WE CAN EXERCISE CERTAIN LEVELS OF AUTHORITY. WE NEED TO MOVE FROM THE DECEPTION OF THINKING WE CAN BIND AND LOOSE DEMONS, EVEN IF WE ARE LIVING A LIFESTLE OF A BABY SHRISTIAN. WHAT DO I MEAN BY THAT?. SOMEBODY DOESN’T PRAY, READ THE WORD, DOESN’T WORSHIP, OR LIVE RIGHT BEFORE GOD. BUT THEY RISE UP TO BIND THE DEVIL WITHOUT EVEN SPENDING TIME IN PRAYER TO BE EMPOWERED AND EQUIPED FOR THAT MINISTRY. NOW IF YOU ARE A BABY CHRISTIANS JESUS WILL FIGHT BATTLES FOR YOU, HE IS A FATHER THAT’S WHAT FATHERS DO. BUT AFTER A CERTAIN LEVEL OF WALKING WITH HIM HE EXPECTS YOU TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. SOME CHRISTIANS WANT TO BE BABY CHRISTIANS FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES, THE PROBLEM WITH THAT IS THE ENEMY DOES NOT TREAT YOU LIKE A BABY. AFTER A CERTAIN STAGE HE TEMPTS AND BOTHERS YOU ACCORDING TO WHERE YOU SHOULD BE. SO ITS EITHER YOU GO TO JESUS AND ASK FOR EMPOWERMENT AND THE HELP OF THE HOLY GHOST, OR YOU CONTINUE TO TAKE BEATINGS FROM THE ENEMY. WHEN THE ENEMY KEPT BOTHERING ME THE HOLY SPIRIT LED ME TO LEARNING THE WORD IN DEPTH. THAT’S WHERE YOUR ANSWER IS. JESUS IS READY TO LEAD YOU AND TRAIN YOU TO LIVE IN VICTORY. SEE IF YOU ARE NOT TRAINED TO USE YOUR AUTHORITY THE ENEMY WILL VISIT YOU REGULALY TO STEAL, KILL AND DESTROY. SO IF YOU ASK FOR MONEY, HUSBAND, WIFE, BUSINESS FROM GOD, HE WILL GIVE YOU, HE IS A FATHER. BUT IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO PROTECT IT SOON THE ENEMY WILL COME TO TAKE IT AWAY. ITS HIS WORK, OR BUSINESS TO DO THAT. JESUS GAVE US A SUMMARY OF THE DEVIL’S WORK. LOOK…

John 10:10

New King James Version (NKJV)10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

JESUS TOLD US THAT WHEN HE GIVES YOU SOMETHING , SOON AFTER THE THIEF WILL VISIT YOU WITH THE INTENTION TO STEL, KILL AND DESTROY. BUT JESUS ALSO SAYS HE HAS ALSO COME TO GIVE YOU LIFE IN ABUNDANCE. BUT YOU NEED TO GO TO JESUS FOR LESSONS ON HOW TO AVOID FALLING PRAEY TO THE ENEMY’S PLANS OF TRYING TO STEL, KILL AND DESTOY EVERYTHING GOD GAVE YOU. JESUS SAID THESE WORDS TO EVERYONE NOT SINNERS, BECAUSE A LOT OF CHILDREN IN THE KINGDOM ARE UNDER THIS CATEGORY…

Matthew 11:28-30

New King James Version (NKJV)

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

IVE FOUND MYSELF NOW AND AGAIN NEEDING THIS SERVICE FROM THE LORD. IVE LEANT THAT HE SAID COME UNTO ME, NOT I WILL COME TO YOU. THAT IS WHY YOU NEED THE SECRET PLACE, THAT’S WHERE YOU FIND REST. HE SAID TAKE MY YOKE AND LEARN FROM ME….I HAVE EXPLAINED IN DETAIL THAT JESUS SPENT A LOT OF TIME IN THE SECRET PLACE, PRAYING. HE SAYS LEARN FROM ME. THAT MEANS FOLLOW MY TEACHINGS AND MY LIFESTYLE.GET TO THAT PLACE WHERE THERE IS REST FROM THE EVIL ONE. NOW I SAID WE ARE GOING TO LEARN FROM PSALM 91. PSALM 91: NO EVIL SHALL BEFALL YOU, NOR SHALL ANY PLAGUE COME NEAR YOUR DWELLING. WAIT!.. WHERE IS THIS? WHERE IS THIS PLACE WHERE I CAN LIVE AND BE FREE FROM EVIL. JESUS SAID I CAN GET THIS WHEN I GO TO MY FATHER IN THE SECRET PLACE…IS THAT WHAT PSALM 91 IS SAYING? ARE SCRIPTURES CONFIRMING THE PLEASURES AND BENEFITS OF THE SECRET PLACE?. NOW LETS DISCUSS BRIEFLY PSALM 91 AUTHORSHIP.

PSALM 91 DOES NOT NAME ITS AUTHOR, BUT JEWISH SCHOLARS SAY IF THAT’S THE CASE YOU TAKE THE WRITER OF THE PREVIOUS  PSALM. IN THIS CASE ITS MOSES WHO WROTE PSALM 90. WOULD MOSES HAVE WRITTEN PSALM 91. WELL MAYBE, IN EXODUS 33 HE HAD AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD WHERE HE ASKED FOR GOD’S GRACE AND HIS PRESENCE. GOD SAID HE WILL SEND AN ANGEL, BUT MOSES SAID HE WANTS GOD OR HE IS GOING NOWHERE. THAT GOT GOD’S ATTENTION, BECAUSE LATER ON HE PUT HIM ON THE CLEFT OF THE ROCK AND PASSED BY. BY NOW MOSES WAS ASKING TO SEE GOD’S FACE. THEY BECAME FRIENDS.THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IN THE SECRET PLACE, YOU BECOME SO CLOSE TO GOD, SO THAT YOU START VENTURING..TRYING TO PUSH BOUNDARIES. EVRY CHILD DOES WHEN THEY HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH DADDY. THEN YOU SEE THE GENTLE RESTRAINING HAND OF A FATHER SAING NO..WE CANT DO THAT BUT I CAN SHOW YOU MY BACK. YOU CANT SEE MY FACE AND LIVE BUT EHH I WILL PUT YOU IN A ROCK, COVER YOU WITH MY HAND WHILE I PASS BY YOU. SO GOD STARTS DOING ALL THIS AND DOES A PARADE BEFORE MOSES AND STARTS SAING IM GRACIOUS, COMPASSIONATE ETC.ITS A SCENE OF FATHER AND SON AND IT CLEARLY SHOWS INTIMACY BETWEEN THE TWO. CLEARLY MOSES WAS NOT SHAKING AND TREMLING WITH FEAR, HE WAS HAVING FUN WITH GOD. THEY WERE FRIENDS. BUT LOOK IT STARTED WITH MOSES PITCHING UP A TENT IN V7 CALLED TARBENACLE OF MEETING.IT WAS FOR EVERYONE WHO SOUGHT THE LORD. V9 SAYSWHEN MOSES ENTERED THE TENT GOD SHOWED UP.  V11,  THE LORD SPOKE WITH MOSES FACE TO FACE AS A MAN SPEAKS WITH FRIEND. NOW YOU CAN NOT DENY THAT THIS IS A FORM OF SECRET PLACE. THE REST OF THE STORY SHOWS THAT IN THAT TENT MOSES GOT USED TO GOD IN A REVERENTIAL WAY AND MOSES DISCOVERED THAT HE COULD ASK FOR THINGS AND PICK AND CHOSE WHAT HE LIKED. SAY NO TO WHAT HE DIDN’T LIKE. GOD ENDED UP SAYING I WILL DO THINGS   THAT YOUASK FOR,  FOR I KNOW YOU BY NAME AND YOU HAVE FOUND GRACE IN MY SIGHT. NOW SURELY YOU MUST REALISE THAT GOD ALREADY KNEW MOSES NAME BEFORE BECAUSE GOD HAD BEEN USING THE NAME ALL ALONG. WHEN MOSES FIRST ENCOUNTERED GOD AT THE BURNING BUSH GOD CALLED MOSES FIRST. EXODUS 3:1-7. SO GOD KNEW MOSES’S NAME. BUT NOW GOD SAYS I KNOW YOU BY NAME. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? WHEN YOU TAKE TIME TO GO TO THE SECRET PLACE AND LEARN FROM GOD IN SUCH A WAY THAT YOU BECOME FRIENDS, HE GIVES YOU A NAME THAT HE ALONE CAN GIVE. ALTHOUGH WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT NAME GOD HAD GIVEN TO MOSES, BUT IN THE WORD THERE IS EVIDENCE OF NEW NAMES GIVEN BY GOD, ABRAHAM, SARAH, PETER, PAUL, AND JACOB. REVELATION 2:17.

 Revelation 2:17

New King James Version (NKJV)

17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.

I BELIEVE SO MANY THINGS HAPPEN AT THE SECRET PLACE THAT YOU ARE GIVEN A NEW NAME. WHEN YOU REACH THAT STAGE YOU BEGIN TO ASK FOR GRACES AND BENEFITS OF BEING A CHILD OF GOD KNOWN BY A NAME THAT GOD GIVES YOU. YOU BECOME KNOWN BY GOD. REMEMBER THE SECRET PLACE IS CREATED BY YOU. YOU HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU CAN SPEND TIME WITH GOD ALONE UN DISTURBED. A PLACE OF PRIVACY. JESUS WENT TO THE MOUNTAINS ALONE AT NIGHT, HERE MOSES SEEMS TO BE ALONE AT A MOUNTAIN SOMEWHERE, JACOB WAS ALONE PRAYING SOMEWHERE, ABRAHAM WAS ALONE SOMEWHERE. ITS UP TO YOU WHERE YOU CHOOSE TO MEET GOD. IF THE HOUSE YOU LIVE IN HAS NO PRIVACY, TAKE A WALK. A PASTOR SAID HE TAKES AN TWO HOUR WALK EVERYDAY, BEFORE SUNRISE, SOMEBODY SAID I GO TO THE POOL EVERYDAY. MY FRIEND GOES TO TAKE A TWO HOUR BATH. THERE IS A SECRET PLACE EVERYWHERE, YOU NEED TO EXPLORE AND BE WILLING TO WANT. WHERE THEY IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY. NOW READ EXODUS 33:7-23. ITS SUMMARISED FOR YOU ABOVE NOW READ THE WHOLE CHAPTER 33, SO THAT YOU UNDERSTAND. THIS WILL HELP YOU LEARN ABOUT BENEFITS OF THE SECRET PLACE. I WILL UNDERLINE THE VERSES I MENTIONED.

Exodus 33

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Command to Leave Sinai

33 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Depart and go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘To your descendants I will give it.’ 2 And I will send My Angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite. 3 Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst, lest I consume you on the way, for you are a stiff-necked people.”

4 And when the people heard this bad news, they mourned, and no one put on his ornaments. 5 For the Lord had said to Moses, “Say to the children of Israel, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. I could come up into your midst in one moment and consume you. Now therefore, take off your ornaments, that I may know what to do to you.’” 6 So the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by Mount Horeb.

Moses Meets with the Lord

7 Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of meeting. And it came to pass that everyone who sought the Lord went out to the tabernacle of meeting which was outside the camp. 8 So it was, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, that all the people rose, and each man stood at his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle. 9

And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses. 10 All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door.

 11 So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.

The Promise of God’s Presence

12 Then Moses said to the Lord, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’ 13 Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.”

14 And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

15 Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. 16 For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.”

17 So the Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.”

18 AND HE SAID, “PLEASE, SHOW ME YOUR GLORY.”

19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” 20 But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” 21 And the Lord said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. 22 So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. 23 Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”

 NOW BACK TO MY QUESTION..IS IT MOSES WHO WROTE PSALM 91?. DOES EXODUS 33 AND THE REST OF THEIR JOUNEY TO THE PROMISE LAND QUALIFY HIM AS WRITER? YOU NEED TO ANSWER THAT AFTER READING PSALM 91 AND EXODUS 33. A GOOD BIBLE STUDENT WITH A MISSION TO ERADICATE EVIL WILL PAY THE PRICE THAT WILL ENABLE HIM TO GET TO THAT DESTINATION..EVIL FREE LIFE.

NOW OTHER SCHOLARS SAY ITS DAVID WHO WROTE THE PSALM 91. I HAVE TAKEN TIME TO EXPLAIN MOSES BUT WITH DAVID IT’S THE SUBJECT OF OUR BIBLE STUDY,  SO WE CONTINUE. WHY DO SCHOLARS THINK ITD DAVID? WELL BECAUSE HE SEEMS TO USE THAT TERM SECRET PLACE SOME WHERE ELSE LOOK AT THESE SCRIPTURES.

Psalm 31:20

New King James Version (NKJV)

20 You shall hide them in the SECRET PLACE OF YOUR PRESENCE
From the plots of man;
You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion
From the strife of tongues.

PSALM 27:5-7.

James Version (NKJV)

5 FOR IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE
HE SHALL HIDE ME IN HIS PAVILION;
IN THE SECRET PLACE OF HIS TABERNACLE

HE SHALL HIDE ME;
HE SHALL SET ME HIGH UPON A ROCK.
( SEEMS LIKE MOSES LANGUAGE OF EXODUS 33:20-23).

6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
(SEEMS LIKE DAVID’S LANGUAGE WHEN HE WAS HUNTED BY HIS ENEMIES).

NOW WHATEVER YOUR CONCLUSION IS, BOTH THESE MEN HAVE SOMETHING TO TEACH US ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF THE SECRET PLACE…PROTECTION FROM EVIL.

LETS LOOK AT PSALM 91 IN DETAIL. FIRST, THE AUTHOR SAYS Psalm 91:9-10(NKJV)

9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
WOW SO THERE ARE CONDITIONS  TO HAVING NO EVIL IN YOUR LIFE. V9 SAYS BECAUSE… YOU HAVE MADE THE LORD, WHO IS MY REFUGE, YOUR DWELLING PLACE….THEN NO EVIL SHALL BEFALL YOU. NOR SHALL ANY PLAGUE COME NEAR YOUR DWELLING. SO THE WRITER IS SAYING.. YOU HAVE TO MAKE GOD YOUR DWELLING. SO ITS NOT AUTOMATIC. THEN WHERE IS THIS PLACE? WE HAVE TO STUDY ALL ABOUT IT SO THAT WE CAN APPLY IT TO OUR LIVES.

LOOK AT VERSES 1-2 OF PSALM 91Psalm 91:1-2

 (NKJV)Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God

91 He who dwells IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is MY REFUGE AND MY FORTRESS;
My God, in Him I will trust.

NOW REMEMBER, VS 9-10, SPOKE ABOUT EVIL AND REFUGE. IT SEEMS ITS IN THE SECRET PLACE THAT WE FIND REFUGE FROM EVIL. VERSE 1-2 SAYS THAT. SO PSALM 91 CONFIRMS WHAT JESUS SAID THAT IF YOU GO TO THE SECRET PLACE TALK TO YOUR FATHER THEN YOU CAN SAY DELIVER US FROM EVIL. PSALM 91 SAYS THE SAME. BUT PSALM 91 SAYS THERE IS MORE THAN REFUGE IN THE SECRET PLACE. WE SHALL EXPLORE THE OTHER BENEFITS AS WELL. BUR FIRST WHAT DO WE NEED TO KNOW? WE KNOW IT’S THE SECRET PLACE BUT WHAT ELSE? LETS EXPLORE PSALM 91.  IWILL DOWNLOAD IT FOR YOU SO THAT WE CAN GO VERSE BY VERSE.

Psalm 91

New King James Version (NKJV)

Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God

91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

·         NOW LOOK AT WHAT VERSE 1 SAYS. THERE IS A LOT TO KNOW. I OFTEN HEAR PEOPLE SAYING JUST QOUTE PSALM 91 TO THE ENEMY, ON YOUR WAY TO WORK OR ANYTIME REALY IT WILL WORK FOR YOU. THE ENEMY WILL RUN FROM YOU. BUT LOOK AT WHAT THE FIRST LETTERS SAYS… HE WHO, ITS CONDITIONAL. ITS FOR HIM WHO DWELLS. NOW WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO DON’T DWELL? I THINK A MAJORITY OF CHRISTIANS HAVE FOUND THAT IF THERE IS NO DWELLING IT DOESN’T WORK. AGAIN GOD IS SOVEREIGN, HE IS A FATHER, HE CAN DO IT FOR YOU, BUT WHY DID HE SPECIFY THAT YOU HAVE TO DWELL?. COULD HE BE AVOIDING A TAKE AWAY RELATION SHIP WITH HIS CHILDREN WHERE WE JUST STAND OUT SIDE AND SHOUT OUR DESIRES. THAT SORT OF RELATIONSHIP WORKS UP TO A CERTAIN LEVEL IN YOUR WALK WITH GOD. WE HAVE ALREADY MENTIONED THAT ABOVE. IVE HEAD A LOT OF CHRISTIANS SAYING FAITH DOESN’T WORK. YOU SCREAM AND SHOUT AT THE DEVIL, THINGS GET WORSE. COULD IT BE YOU ARE SHOUTING FROM OUTSIDE, YOU DON’T COME IN TO BE EMPOWERED TO USE THE ANOINTING. PSALM 91 SAYS HE WHO DWELLS…

·         LETS LOOK AT THE WORD DWELL, WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

yashab: to sit, remain, dwell

·         To continue, persevere, tabernacle, to lodge, to tarry.

·         PLEASE LOOK AT THESE WORDS AND CAREFULLY CONSIDER THAT EACH OF THEM MEAN A PERMANENT STAY OF SOME SORT. SOME WORDS ARE AS SERIOUS AS MARRY, CONTINUE, ABIDE, PERSEVERE, REMAIN, SITS ENTHRONED, INHABIT. IF YOU WERE TO SUBSTITUTE THE WORD DWELLS WITH EVERYONE OF THESE WORDS YOU BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND WHY ITS EFFECTIVE, YOU LITERALY LIVE, TARRY, PERSEVERE LODGE, RESIDE IN THE SECRET PLACE.

·         THIS IS HOW THIS LINE WOULD READ IN VERSE 1. HE WHO ( LIVES, DWELLS, CONTINUES, RESIDES, PERSERVERES, STAYS, MARRIES,SITS DOWN, REMAINS,TARRIES, ABIDES, LODGES, TAKES A SIT, IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH. NOW THIS STATEMENT SHOWS YOU COME TO THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH WITH THE INTENTION TO SPEND QUALITY TIME. INTIMACY THAT CAN BE DESCRIBED AS MARRIAGE. YOU COME TO PERSEVERE, TO TARRY, TO LIVE, TO ABIDE, TO CONTINUE, TO LODGE, TO REMAIN. SO FIRST CONDITION  FOR EVIL FREE LIFE IS YOU GO TO THE SECRET PLACE TO LIVE, TARRY, AND LODGE.

·         2ND QUESTION WHERE? AND WITH WHO?.1- IN THE SECRET PLACE. 2- WITH THE MOST HIGH. WHO IS THE MOST HIGH?

ONE OF THE NAMES OF GOD APPLIED TO THE TRINITY. FIRST FOUND IN GENESIS 14:18-22 Genesis 14:18-20

New King James Version (NKJV)

Abram and Melchizedek

18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said:

“Blessed be Abram of God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth;

20 And blessed be God Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”

And he gave him a tithe of all.

WHAT DOES THE NAME MOST HIGH MEAN?

El Elyon
The Most High God

SOVEREIGNTY DEFINED

God Most High = El Elyon

The most high God

Strongest of the Strong

Superlative God - surpassing all others ALSO MEANS, uppermost, pertaining to heights in the highest, , highness, supreme, lofty, elevated and high in rank.

SO IF YOU DWELL IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH, YOU ARE DWELLING IN THE HIDING PLACE OF THE STRONGEST OF THE STRONG,IN THE ONE WHO IS SUPREME AND SOVEREIGN OVER ALL. THE MOST POWERFUL GOD. HIGH IN RANK.

NOW LOOK AT THE NEXT SENTENCE

SHALL ABIDE UNDER THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY.

SEE IF YOU DWELL, THE NEXT THING YOU ABIDE. WHAT IS TO ABIDE?

abide

verb

abide by something obey, follow, agree to, carry out, observe, fulfil, stand by, act on, comply with, hold to, heed, submit to, conform to, keep to, adhere to, mind

TO ABIDE MEANS TO LAST, CONTINUE, REMAIN, SURVIVE,ENDURE, PERSIST, KEEP ON.

WHERE SHALL YOU ABIDE OR CARRY ON? UNDER THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY.

LETS LOOK AT MEANING OF SHADOW. Word Origin
from
tsalal
Definition
a shadow
NASB Translation
protection (4), shade (15), shadow (30), shadows (3), shelter (1). Defence.

SO YOU REMAIN IN THE PROTECTION, SHELTER, AND DEFENCE OF THE ALMIGHTY!

NOW LOOK AT THE WORD ALMIGHTY.

Almighty Meaning and Definition

1.     (a.) Unlimited in might; omnipotent; all-powerful; irresistible.

2.     (a.) Great; extreme; terrible.

Almighty: words in the definition

Almighty synonyms

NB. WHAT PSALM 91:1 HAS SHOWN US IS THAT IN THE SECRET PLACE, YOU GO THERE TO DWELL, REMAIN AND ABIDE. THIS ALSO TELLS US THAT YOU ARE IN THE PROTECTION OF THE MOST HIGH, SUPREME ALL POWERFUL, TERRIBLE, OMNIPOTENT GREAT AND MIGHTY GOD. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY IF YOU DWELL IN THE SECRET PLACE YOU CAN THEN REALISE THAT NO EVIL SHALL BEFALL YOU. WE WILL PICK THIS UP IN VS9.

LOOK AT PSALM 91 V2.

2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

AFTER STUDYING VERSE 1 YOU NOW KNOW WHO GOD IS, AND THE RULES OF HIS SECRET PLACE, E.G, YOU COME TO STAY, ABIDE, REMAIN, THEN YOU BEGIN TO GROW CONFIDENCE IN WHO IS PROTECTING YOU. AND THAT REALY BY STAYING IN THE SECRET PLACE YOU ARE KEPT UNDER HIS SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY.

THEN VERSE 2 LITERALY SAYS “I WILL SAY OF THE LORD”.

ANOTHER NAME OF GOD. WHY DOES HE KEEP CHANGING NAMES? BECAUSE ALL THE NAMES OF GOD CONVEY A CERTAIN CHARACTER OR TRUTH ABOU MT GOD. SO THE WORD LORD, ADDS DEEPER MEANING TO OUR STUDY. WHAT DOES LORD MEAN. IT’S THE HEBREW NAME ADONAI, MEANING, MASTER, LORD, OWNER, OR THE ONE IN CHARGE.

SO THE WRITER OF PSALM 91 SAYS  “I WILL SAY OF THE OWNER OF THE UNIVERSE, THE MASTER, THE ONE IN CHARGE…HE IS MY REFUGE AND FORTRESS.

3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler[a]
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
  His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

7A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

Psalm 31:20

New King James Version (NKJV)

20 You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence
From the plots of man;
You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion
From the strife of tongues.

James Version (NKJV)

5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.

6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
